If this game comes out is anyone gonna play? The anime was pretty fun to watch but the game looks pretty cool. It has that fantasy game feel but alot more balance then the other games that I could name. Since the anime is on crunchyroll the games exposure is a bit better. you guys should check it out

I would definitely play it if it got localized! And that's saying a lot for someone like myself that has never once been interested in card games.
And I really enjoy the anime. It's kind of depressing when I search the net for info about it and all I seem to come across are a lot of reviews of people being extremely disappointed with it and just straight out making fun of it. lol

On a side note, Aichi is so cute!! xD I love his relationship with Kai.
I might cosplay him at some point...

Right now Bushiroad the company who owns Vanguard is trying to put alot of support for the card game, The website www.heartofthecards.com has the first two sets and starter decks translated and they even made cut outs so you can slip it in the sleeves. They have offical tournaments in New York and Im trying to get my store to carry it in California. Its a fun game, I picked up two starters and a few packs and with the card translations its not too big of a deal putting the card sheets in the sleeves.

there is a site that has pretty good pricing compared to ebay, its http://www.hammergirlanime.com/search.aspx?find=card+fight+vanguard

you have to spend at least 25 dollars for the cheap shipping but its mainly good for people in the United States. If you guys have an anime/game shop that likes this kind of game then they should order it. They have an offical distributer in the United States so the shop could get good deals on it. It also has all the translated card sets so you guys can play it.

The site that has the translations and its the distributer site is www.heartofthecards.com give that site to the store manager/owner so they can get more info

Some games have low strategies in early set compared to others, probably a few sets in and we can see some crazy combo. Misaki deck has alot of set 2 and it so far has a solid strategy. I played alot of card games and some like magic and battle spirits have some great engines going but yugioh had almost nothing in the base set.

This is very true I'm not saying I wouldn't be turned onto it just that in its stage right now it seems more of a child's game... and at first so did yugioh even if u know nothing about yugioh it seems childish until you focus on strategies and all the different styles of play... so I do hope that vanguard continues to grow and I would enjoy to play it one day in complete English lol

I know when this game becomes more wide spread many people can try it out. Me and my friends already played a few dozen games and we found that there is plenty of strategies with just the two starters, the most basic is when I should attack with what and when I should guard the attacks. You have to also decide what cards you should level up with. Is it better off playing blaster blade as a vanguard or just rearguard. The list can go on and with the gran blue type decks you can mill yourself for pumps and or resurrections.

So I want to give an update about the trading card game cardfight vanguard. me and some guys are planning to run a vanguard english edition tournament at Fanime 2012 this year. Fanime is in San Jose California at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. Entry is free but you have to have a badge to enter the convention.

I plan on doing demos to teach people how to play as well as having some prizes for the tournament. The game will be in the English format so you dont have to pull out your Japanese dictionary:)

Wish I'm in Cali.

We rarely have games here (cause I only know 3 people so far who has the game, 2 in edmonton, 1 in calgary).

So right now I'm just playing with my sister, as all 3 people are usually busy. Another reason is no one sells them here I think, yet (all of us imported). Love the game, easy to pick up, hard to get good at, and as we all say, to rely or not to rely on luck of the draw.

I've got a couple of friends who wok in cardshops. One here in my local city (she owns it), and my best friend in St Louis. Both have access to the game from American Distributors. It is being officially supported over here, as well as Bushiroad's Weiss Schwarz (Which comes out in the states this summer).

I've been playing it a lot and actually taught my fiance last night. She loves it as well. I know that it's currently #3 in popularity in Japan and did half of Yugi-Oh's first quarter sales this year, which is a feat. So I expect it to see reasonable success in the states. The Anime is very good for it's particular genre, it'sm ore the story of a local Meta than some over the top magical card game.

Also for those who don't get to play locally. Lackey CCG has a plug in that has most of the cards from sets 1-4 in it (Maybe even 5) and the trial decks. So you and your buddies can get some online games in.
