Wannabes. If they really cared what the Bible said, they'd spend their Sundays murdering anyone who works, murdering homosexuals, and bashing immigrant babies on rocks, because that's what the Bible actually tells you to do.

Considering how the very core of the Bible is written around hate and racism, I'm surprised there aren't more groups like this.

Really, the core of the bible is written around hate and racism? Isn't that the old testament. You do know that there is a new testament and the greatest commandment is in Mark 12
Verse 31
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
How is that hateful?
As for racism, I dont know what you mean. Does it say "white power"? No.
Hate is different, we should hate the sin, but the person we must love. I'd really like to know your view a bit more, and please dont forget about the new testament.

Mark 7: 24-30 (NIV)

24 Jesus left that place and went to the vicinity of Tyre.[g] He entered a house and did not want anyone to know it; yet he could not keep his presence secret. 25 In fact, as soon as she heard about him, a woman whose little daughter was possessed by an impure spirit came and fell at his feet. 26 The woman was a Greek, born in Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter.

27 “First let the children eat all they want,” he told her, “for it is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

28 “Lord,” she replied, “even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.”

29 Then he told her, “For such a reply, you may go; the demon has left your daughter.”

30 She went home and found her child lying on the bed, and the demon gone.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Matthew 15: 21-28 (NIV)

21 Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.”

23 Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”

24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

25 The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said.

26 He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

27 “Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”

28 Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So here we have Mark and Matthew telling the same story, even though the woman supposedly comes from two different places. But worrying about the countless contradictions littered throughout the Bible deserves a thread of its own, so let's just focus on the matter at hand, and that's how racist Jesus was.

Regardless of whether this was a test of faith or not, comparing her race to 'dogs' is blatant racism. In fact, in Mark's version, it doesn't sound like he's rewarding her faith at all, rather that he was somewhat bemused at her response, and gave her what she wanted to get her out of his sight.

In the Matthew version, his disciples support his racism, and indeed share it, as they beg Jesus to send her away. Interpret it how you will, the words are right there. “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

What does it matter? The Laws written in the Old Testament are still supposed to be followed by those that adhere to the new. Jesus himself said (Matthew 5:17 (NIV)) "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."

Let me get this straight. These people are happy that their own country got hit and would like more of it until America doesn't have any worthwhile structures to destroy just to make that point? If that's the case, us Californians must break away from the mainland to go hang out with Hawaii. Alaska can come too.

I do know from Lewis Black that the Old Testament was designed to straighten the Jews out, because they were out of control. They were 10 hairs short of a baboon. It was there to distract them from the fact that they did not have air conditioning at that time.

It isn't that they are happy America got attacked, but rather that they are so fervently anti-war that they think the soldiers are evil by extension because of the fact that they volunteered to fight in it.

They actually represent a large part of America's collective thought, but unfortunately, chose the wrong outlet to voice their displeasure. Funerals just simply aren't a place to protest anything. That choice of venue, while earning them the attention they sought, served to do nothing but alienate anyone who even somewhat agrees with them to the point of having to keep their opinion to themselves in fear of being associated with them.

Agreed. It's a poor topic of interest to raise their argument for anti-war. They could have done a lot better than using something that is highly not correlated or logical. They're not stupid but they took the easy way out and make themselves like that.

Well, if you view the situation entirely logically and without any morals, patriotism, etc. conflicting, the soldiers are as much at fault for the war as the officials orchestrating it. Simply put, the war couldn't happen if they didn't choose to go fight in it. At the bare bones, logically, that notion is inarguable. Logically, those who are against the war but join the military and fight in a war for financial gain are greedy sinners, and those who support it and join are murderers.

They just went about orating that logic in an illogical way. To spread an opinion like this requires small baby steps, but they skipped all those and went straight to defaming soldiers's funerals in a country that has made a strong point in venerating them.
