I'm kind of pissed at tokyopop, I had waited on buying a few manga's and now I'm having a hard time finding them in my area (Hetalia, axis powers anyone) *sigh* I just hope they allow maybe another publisher to do the English manga or I'm going to have to break down and learn Japanese

According to Tokyopop's facebook page they released their license to the ongoing manga back to the the author(s) so Its up to them if they choose to go to a different company to continue the English version and what not I don't know what's really going on but from what I gathered that's what happened but they haven't really said anything otherwise.

I read most of my manga from tokyopop it's so sad because they're soooo popular.. this sucks man, but at least I still have my "manga rock" app and mangable.com

can't say its to surprising that they went out of business. while i do buy a lot of manga that i really enjoyed since i like to support the things i enjoy. but its hard to agree to paying $10 for a 30 minute read when i can buy an entire novel for $8. in the end there going to have to think of a competitive way to get people to read there products legally. funimation had the right idea when they started streaming there anime on their website with adds and what not maybe its time some of the manga publishers started scanlating their own products and putting them on their sites to read for a small membership fee. worked for crunchyroll and funimation afterall.
