Can Crunchyroll explain why this is happening? Why should I continue to pay for service if it's not really what you state it is? Or, can watch it for free elsewhere without recourse or a fee? What a bummer. I like this show but don't wanna pay for service when others are watching something, supposedly not aired yet, while I pay for delayed viewing.

Offline	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 6/2/11 You do know that Crunchyroll has no control over when Blue Exorcist is posted, that's Aniplex of America's job. Also, Free users of this site can watch the latest episodes immediately, the same way that the Premium users get to do for most of the series on this site. Also, these free streaming sites, all of them would be illegally obtaining the episodes, since Aniplex has stipulated that VizAnime, Hulu, ANN, and Crunchyroll to stream the newest episodes on Wednesdays.

Makes no business sense if other free sites are taking advantage of this. I would say that Crunchyroll needs to tell Aniplex that they're loosing money on each episode that's delayed to release on approved media sites. This is an ongoing battle that may never see a clear winner but there has to be incentives for paying members otherwise who should pay for it? A new series like this one I can see lasting a while. So if they're smart they'll want to figure it out quickly. Thanks for the heads up and answering my question.

The views that so and so delay less episode would have gotten are instead concentrated on those sites that are illegal. If you didn't know, the anime on CR is supported through the number of views a episode gets if I'm not mistaken, hence it needs to be sorted out asap.

It is Aniplex's work after all, so whatever they want to do is fine by me.

Also, you don't know that aniplex necessarily has the time to sub the episode that quick. They dont have the crazy dedication and hours of the release groups, and they have a lot more quality control speedbumps in-house to wade through.

I pay for my premium membership because I want the highest quality subs and streams immediately after they air. having to wait 3 or so days for it to appear will undeniably lead me to search elsewhere for an earlier release. I love aniplex, but if they don't want hundreds of their fans going to illegal sites/torrents for their releases, if they want to actually give people a reason to pay for these services and support the industry, they should sub them and release them as absolutely quickly as possible. if all of the animes that I watch on here had a 2+ day wait when I could get them sooner elsewhere, I wouldn't be paying my monthly membership fee.
