as long as it doesn't involve enormous boobs dangling in front of the camera every two minutes, i don't mind having fanservice in anime

hi i'm new here , well the problem is anime is starting to use this element too much , and that's annoying. i used to watch anime before but nowadays because of this thing i don't know what to watch . it's hard to find a good anime today . nothing like the 90s ones , those were good shows ,but i don't know what is happening today .

Eh, a bit of it doesn't bother me. But many studios know- fanservice sells. So they overdo it in my eyes. Not to mention that most fanservice also does not cater to me, so it tends to be more apt to repulse me at those levels...

if it can be worked into the story properly, i dont mind it. but if it feels even the slightest bit forced then it kind of bothers me.

I don't mind... As long as the creators didn't abuse it.

nope, depends on the anime though, would seem out of place in something like bleach for an example

I don't mind ecchi fanservice as along as there is a story that kinda counter-balances it, but if the ecchi fanservice is so perverted that it makes me want to puke like for example Seikon no Qwaser then I don't like it.

Dragon crisis had a bit of fan service and i don't think they over did it i enjoyed the anime

but to me i don't watch anime for the fan service/echii

also like freezing now i'd still like it if there clothes didn't get ripped off
sure they over did it but if you ignore it the story is kinda cool

As long as it doesn't muck up the story or involve a three year old, and isn't anything outside of ordinary, everyday life situations which aren't what I'd consider fanservice (ie: beach, shower, etc.), I'm okay. I really hate it when it's all obvious, extreme in your face things. It's embarrassing.

Please don't play on stereotypes. Some anime actually have plots. If you like deconstruction plots (eg: evangelion), there is the massively popular Puella Magi/Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, which has great animation and soundtrack, as well as a lack of fanservice, though it does spend two episodes going "hello, this is an ordinary magical girl show, only the magical girl isn't a magical girl yet". It's not the be all and end all, but it has some good twists, and plays with every magical girl stereotype.
Also, doesn't Faye from Cowboy Bebop technically count as fanservice? We all know WHY her outfits are like that, but it doesn't stop real people from looking.

I love ecchi lol.
When it comes to guys...when it's girl's, I don't really appreciate it, being straight and all.

Some types of fanservice I like (the mostly clean kind that just makes you giggle despite yourself, or some of the awkward but funny situations) and I can handle a little bit of the other kind to an extent, but the blatant fanservice and eichi that has been running rampant gets really annoying. Seems kind of demeaning to both sexes really. Too many obvious panty shots, too many "oops I looked in while she was changing with a seductive pose", too many outrageously and unrealistically large boobs, too much unnecessary grabbing, too many forced shounen ai moments, and in the case of blood too much can be too much. In other words, I don't mind a little for the sake of humor or by-the-way side-service or even plot but when you can tell they're doing it on purpose, frequently, and crudely, it's just lame. If you're going to do fanservice, keep it subtle enough that it's not in my face and I can ignore it.

I'm for fanservice as long as it goes along with the flow of the story and is done in somewhat of a subtle manner. When you use it just to make up for a sorry plot or boring scenes it gets on my nerves. Shows like We Don't Have Wings and Asobi ni Ikuyo come to mind. The best fanservice is the times where it happens and I don't expect it, but it still seems like a natural occurrence. However that isn't so simple to accomplish and in the end doesn't matter much to the casual viewer.
