Hmm... this theater seems to address BOTH problems I have with theaters, and why I stopped going to them. First, the rude person issue. I love how they make these trailers for the talking and texting! Now if only other theaters could also do something about it. The other problem is price, but seeing that one of the tickets at the semi-local Alamo is $5, it certainly beats the $12 at the local theater...

Isn't that the difference between R and NC-17? Even if the latter's had any hope of respectability ruined, it still exists in theory.

if you can't put the phone away for 2 hours, then you shouldn't be going to the movies, bad enough I have to deal with skyrocketing ticket prices without those distracting lights going on and off in the theater every 5 fucking minutes

In thailand, if you use your cellphone in theaters, it's like, a 500$ fine

Fair play.

I didn't think mobile phones going off in cinemas was much of a problem. Then again, I live in the UK.

I'd make it a 1000$ fine, cranking it up to eleven is always the best choice when people constantly disregard you. Besides that, yeah. I think putting fines into play would be a great way to reinforce regulations and rules while also gaining income from 'rule breakers'-- somewhat unorthodox but it does have a certain pragmatism to it.

Besides that, Ha. Serves them right.

About fucking time! This girl is so fucking stupid. I'd gladly have thrown her cell phone on the ground and stomped on it just to see her get all bent about it.

BUT WHAT IF THERE'S A FIRE IN THE MOVIE THEATER AND SOMEONE HAS TO CALL THE COPS?
Just Sayin.

Those who are indulged in texting will burn to death because they're too dumb to notice their surroundings. I know it's unfortunate, but god's fair.

I haven't been to a movie theature since 2008 for the same reasons. But can I also throw this in too?

When I was watching the first transformers movie, people wouldn't SHUT THE FUCK UP or they would laugh at the dumbest most unfunny things. The area I was sitting in....my god. I mean where are the damn ushers at when you need them? Oh what, they're now afraid of being sued for not respecting psychonutism?

So glad I have the internet, an HDTV, and netflix to watch movies with.

Yay for Texas theaters! (I'm from Texas :P) Anyway here at my area of Texas people who text here is small but yes it is annoying if to see a small little light from a cell phone . That is why we Texans don't give a dam about a customer that are rude to others!

I wish the cinemas over here were that ballsy. All they do is advice you against using your phone, but they don't do anything if anyone actually does. Fortunately, I've not experienced someone talking on the phone during a film yet, but I've had people clicking away texting during a film plenty of times. Very distracting!
