The dere Family:

Tsundere: Angry outside, Sweet inside
Kuudere : Cold outside, Sweet inside
Dandere : Asocial outside, Sweet inside
Yandere : Sweet outside, Crazy inside

Given the order of the others, it is curious why yandere isn't dereyan instead.

It wouldn't be right if character should show their obsessive/possessive nature first then go sweet and innocent at the next scene. After all, Yandere characters profit from their sweet and innocent facade to hide their darkest part of their personality.

I think you missed the point I was trying to make while making it again yourself.

With all the other types "dere" comes later in one's exposure to the character, and thus makes sense as the second part of the word. With a yandere, the "dere" comes as the first exposure (unlike the other character types), but is still the second part of the word.

I think a perfect example of a Kuudere is the principal's secretary Zenun from C3 Cursed x Cubed x Curious

How she normally looks and her facial expression doesn't change throughout the series

How she looks when given the chance, but her expression stays the same
