Yet so many people were turned into zombies? The problem is you are thinking calmly and logically; something few people would be doing under the circumstances. That aside, how many people survived long enough to even discover that little fact? I have to admit I liked the way The Walking Dead did it better: The zombies apparently had their 5 senses, but how they distinguished themselves from fresh meat was by smell. That brings up a gripe I have with HOTD. If the zombies could neither see or apparently smell (as otherwise one wouldn't walk right by someone standing silently that wasn't dead), why wouldn't they spend a lot of time biting into each other? Obviously they would have had some way to discern themselves from the living. |
