Tired of watching the same anime series, and want something fresh? CR's collection of goodies stretches far and wide, but how will you find the anime titles that caters to your taste?

Introducing a new service 'Recommend Me an Anime!' is all about serving one's special needs. Unlike the recommendation thread which is all about good anime in general, this will be more to fulfilling individual requests and and help members discover similar interests in anime selection.

CR is always looking for members to share their opinions and raise a group of fellow anime lovers (who can write well) and will gladly advise newcomers on Anime appreciation.

Some simple guidelines to follow:

- Posts should be only about:
1. asking for a recommendation from fellow members
2. recommending anime to a particular member whom had requested earlier.

- Being specific and clear (for requesters)
1. Do include what genres and types of shows you prefer to watch.
2. If you aren't sure what you want to watch, but hope for recommendations that are similar to certain anime series that you have watched, kindly include a list of said anime in your post.

Well I'm sorry to say that the chances of actually getting people to follow this very specific/organized format is slim to none, but since you put so much effort into it I'll see what the other mods say.

Its ok if less people can recommend but requesting is pretty easy if u can please help me out about recommending an anime to them.

example for request u can at least say little word like

Hi is there a comedy similar to one piece or naruto cause i lkie action with comedy

Well guyz u really dont have to write a good format for requesting but for recommending its ok not to link as long as u put the genre and make a list

I really don't think that people will actually follow that format. The thread that is currently up right now is good enough for now. The thing is that if people want to watch anime, then they will ask their friends on CR for some recommendations.

I'm sorry but I have to lock this since we already have a thread for recommendations. It was a good concept but it'll fail considering how many people even bother to read the first post of threads like these.

Since asakura consulted me before posting this up, I think I'll give a shot at this. How about editing the title to something catchier and making the first post shorter and easier on the eyes?

Fav anime titles that are similar to what I would like to be recommended:
I like really dark but EASY GOING stuff like Hellsing, Elfen Leid, Serial Experiments and Gantz.
Chobits is pretty cool too, its childish but there is something deeper to it which I really love.
My favourite anime is Evangelion but Im not especially hot on fighting robots, it was the messed up characters I liked.
I never really go on with Trigun, was a bit bland for me.

Genres that I wish to be recommended:
Really the important thing is that they are easy going but not childish...
Id like darker stuff recommended if anyone knows any. Alternatively, series' with interesting and deep characters.
Im also interested in visual styles so if there is something with some jaw dropping animation id like to know!
I prefer short series', long ones are so much of a commitment! 13 episode series' make me happy! But Ill stretch to the typical 20-30 eps :).

I know that its called a mahou shoujo but the 2nd season redefined the meaning of it lol.The first season is a bit boring but it picks up later on.
