Can someone recommend me an anime that has similar art style to the mangas "Dengeki Daisy" and "Koukou Debut"?
Animes that have somewhat more of a "mature-er"/realistic art? [Opposite to the chibi/childish kind of art]

Doesn't matter what genre it is.. as long as it isn't horror. Comedy/romance/drama/slice of life/action would be great though! :D

Beast Master

Yuiko loves animals, but given the overly-aggressive way she tries to show her love for them, they always run away. One day Yuiko meets a strange boy named Leo who seems to be more beast than human; his fierce eyes frighten everyone away, and he harbors a dark secret: when he's threatened or sees blood, Leo loses control and behaves like a wild animal. Can Yuiko tame this wild beast, or will he run just like all the other animals she loves?

Vampire Knight and Ayashi No Ceres intense drama shoujo with 2 bishies loving and protecting 1 strong but lost girl. Both girls love their brother and best friend. Both anime bishies fight well and slaughter many to shield the girl from viscious killers. VK girl a vampire within vs ANC girl an angel within. VK story addicting and thrilling vs ANC story engaging and moving.

There are so many similarities between these two anime that I don't know where to begin. On the surface, Nana and Skip Beat! both star strong-minded determined girls who want to make it in the entertainment business. The whole story is about how they rise to the top and how they learn to grow and triumph over all the obstacles that come their way. If you want more, they both feature plenty of romance with lots of good looking guys everywhere!
However, underneath it all... both anime are still very similar. Skip Beat! leans more towards comedy and NANA deals with more mature subjects, but their lessons and issues that the protaganists face are still essentially the same. There is the underlying romance, but each anime still has the goal of the starring females in mind. How they grow up, how they overcome their difficulties and the realism of their stories really make it easy to empathsize (with a hint of luck of course!).
If you enjoyed one, I highly suggest you try the other. These two stories are very unique for their genre and definitely one of the best from the pack. And if it leaves you wanting more, you have the manga to look forward to!

A girl decides she wants to become an actress/singer/idol, and we all know how it plays out in the end. On the other this is not your run of the mill "path to stardom" tale. In fact it would be more precise to say that Glass Mask (2005) and Skip Beat! depict a lonely and difficult journy of self discovery.
Faced with professional and social challanges(love life) both lead characters are able to overcome them by self-examination. In the end, their experences and actions may differ, but the character development is quite similar. It is well worth watching one if you enjoyed the other.

Princess Tutu

Want another mahou shoujo? This has nearly no violence at all. No rough muscular men with hair turning yellow screaming odd phrases and destroying the planet--noooo. So if you like a lot of violence and action, this is probably not the type of thing you'll go for. However, if you like a lot of angst, several funny scenes to lighten the mood, and an interesting plot that will captivate you, I highly recommend this.

There have been many parallels between the two anime, but both Death Note and Code Geass have seriously genius characters, though Light is more intelligent psychology-wise, whereas Lelouch is more of a master-strategist. Either way, their incredible exploits, which I will not mention due to spoilers, will leave you gaping and saying "holy crap that was incredibly brilliant!". At least it did for me.
Code Geass has a little bit more to offer comedy-wise, though Death Note has funnier eccentric character habits. Like L continuously eating sweets. Though, I must admit that the "epic writing" in Death note was simultaneously compelling and hilarious. I mean, they really know how to glorify writing people's names in a book.
Code Geass has some silly moments, but really, just like Death Note, is an awesome mind-f**k. Both are basically like being hit by a train-wreck from behind. Not only driven by LSD-inhibited monkeys, but completely unexpected. Things are going all dandy and fine, then WHAM! Roadkill. Body parts everywhere, the nearest hospital one hundred miles away.

Jigoku Shoujo and Death Note both deal with the overall theme of death, and take it quite lightly. Both anime deal with the decisions and values of humanity. The colours and tones are quite dark, and each story is certainly one to keep you at the edge of your seat. The characters in Death Note are much more "cool" and the execution is much more fast and intense. Loved the aesthetic areas of Jigoku Shoujo (art, character designs, music).

When you really stop to consider all the facts, Death Note and Basilisk are very alike. Alright, Basilisk doesn't have shinigami and Death Note doesn't have Ninja. However, both series have 2 opposing forces waged in war against eachother, Basilisk a physical war of bloodshed, Death Note a mental war, but a high stakes war nonetheless. Both series take death and murder rather lightly as if its no problem at all (well, aside from L, Near, Mello ect, but thats a give in) people die in alot of the episodes and both sides (Kouga and Iga or Light and L, depending on which show your talking about) have to stratigically place their movements so as not to be killed by the opposing party, though it does fail from time to time. Also in both series, there's no clear antagonist or protagonist, it's up to you who you want to come out on top and who you say are the good guys and bad guys (or you could b strange like me and like people from both sides in both series xD) and actually, you could get into rather heated debates over who's the good guy and who's the bad guy. Last but definatly not least, both Death Note and Basilisk have some of the nicest artwork I've ever seen in an anime, neither are particularly colorful and they're both relitivly grim, but the artwork is just so stylish. And the many fight scenes in Basilisk shows that off just as nicely as the variety of vibrant setting you find in Death Note.

Both Saiyuki and Samurai Champloo are quest stories - a group of people with unusual abilities go on a journey to find something important. Both have enough butt-kicking to please action fans, and enough character and drama to please plot fans. Most of all, the series are similar in tone - both use anachronism and humor to carry a more serious plot, and both have moments of significant drama and emotional tension as well as moments that are flat-out funny. In addition, Mugen and Son Goku are similar, and Jin has elements of both Sanzo and Hakkai, so those who like the characters of either of these series have a good chance of liking people in both.

Both series follow the premise of wandering souls kept from going forward in life by their horrible pasts.
Many of the characters in Weiss Kreuz have very similar additudes to those in Saiyuki. Aya/Sanzo the anal-retentive "leader" , Schulidich/Gojyo resident flame-haired cocky know-it-all. Both series also share voice actor Seki Toshihiko.
However there are also many difference between both series which make them enjoyable for any viewer. While Weiss has a generally serious tone with occasional laughs from random flowershop fangirls or Youji's incessant flirting, Saiyuki has rather dramatic shifts from histerical laughter to extreme drama. Both series have great back stories for each of the main characters which is probable the greatest simlarity between the series.

Both Slap Up Party and Patalliro Saiyuki are comedy-focused series about a group of four companions travelling towards a goal. While Patalliro Saiyuki is a parody, Slap Up Party doesn't seem to take itself too seriously either, and if you enjoyed the comedy stylings of one, then you may well like the other.

Oh, look:
Shinigamis
Action
Comedy
Shounen

What does that mean? Well, if you look at it closely it means that both Bleach and Soul Eater are so similar!
These shounen shows have the great action, the best comedy, and cool shinigamis.
Soul Eater tends to be a bit more crazier in what it does. Especially when you look at Death the Kid's perfectionist personality.
Though Bleach is more serious than Soul Eater is, they both are really good shows that are worth watching.

For a first: Both Pandora Hearts and 07-Ghost both contain neat, classic modern-day anime style art. Art is of course a big factor, for those like me of course, who are picky about old-new anime styles or people who get annoyed because the clarity and 'cleanness' of an anime.
Second: They both have good paced plots. Not too fast, not too slow.
Third: Both contain great, interesting and funny main characters.
Last: They both involve mysterious powers, and have a certain focus on friendship and bonding.

Hana Yori Dango and Ouran anime are based on reverse harems. Even more than that, each series is based on a teenage girl who is poor, yet somehow ends up attending a high school for the super rich and elite. As such, they both face a lot of obstacles, and their strong spirits and wills to continue ultimately lead to their success. Both series provides us with laughs and of course a little bit of romance. Hana Yori Dango has a little bit more romance, and at times can be sad, which is a little different from the always hilarious and comedic Ouran.

I would like to say that Paradise Kiss is the shorter version of Skip Beat! but it's not. The career path that the main characters follow is somewhat related but still different. The motivations, character development, and even plot development is also quite different. To be frank there is not much relating Paradise Kiss to Skip Beat!
The underlying reason for this recommendation is the fast paced career development of the two protagonist. Just as suddenly as they decided to enter their chosen field, innate tallents emerged making them shine just as bright as any star. These two shows do an excellent job of illustrating how ones life can change in the blink of an eye.
