** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show** zareba wrote: collbary wrote: I just finished watching Ghost hunt .. and i literally fell in love with it !! i love creepy stuff and ghost stories .. Does anybody know any good animes like Ghost hunt? Dark atmosphere, bad spirits, curses and a lot of thrilling enjoyment that's what both XXXHOLIC and Ghost Hunt have to offer. Although plot may seem very diffrent both series come down to one thing: ghost hunting. If you loved all of the mystery solving mayhem in Ghost Hunt and need to keep your detective skills up to par, there aren't many other anime like it to turn to; but there is Mushishi. Mushishi is not about ghost hunting, it's about mushishi hunting. Both anime are episodic in nature and have a new mystery to solve each time around. The stories behind both are very deep and will pull you in. I'm telling you I've seen a lot of garbage anime and this is the only anime that even comes close to Ghost Hunt. Both of these anime feature a collection of people with special abilities; in Ghost Hunt they are all psychics of differing types and in Rental Magica they are all mages of various branches of magic. Both series follow the groups as their companies take on various cases to solve. Ghost Hunt is the darker series with a strong splash of horror, whereas Rental Magica is a lot lighter with more of a harem feel. However both series have a similar premise with an underlying mystery surrounding the central male character. Omg I've just started watching xxxholic and i love it! thank u ! |

Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo Myself; Yourself Kimi ga Nozomu Eien Karin Fruits Basket Special A Chobits Skip Beat Seto No Hanayome Kiss x sis Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora ef – A Tale of Memories ef – A Tale of Melodies (2nd fav) Kimikiss Pure Rouge H2O: Footprints in the Sand Saikano Bokura Ga Ita Lovely Complex 5cm per second Midori Days Sola ------ 3. dropped animes ------ -honey and clover (ep4) -nana (ep33) -ichigo 100% (ep3) -love hina (ep4?) -lamune (ep1) -fushi yugi -marmalade boy ------ if you CAN, rec me an anime :] |

In both series, we see the characters developing their reletionships, as well as their selves, changing and becoming more mature. These anime are all about finding your self whle being in a young age and trying to overcome your ego in order to be with the person you love. The romance and sad moments of these anime are many and intense, therefore I think that if you liked either of them, you will like the other, too Superficially, School Rumble is similar to Toradora!: romantic comedies in a high school setting. But underneath the hood, Toradora! and School Rumble deal with many of the same elements. Both especially concern with how people are percieved, in the case of Ryuuji's and Harima's delinquint looks. Toradora! deals with a select group of people and extensively exploring their relationships, while School Rumble has a large cast, skirting over the interactions of many different personality types. Karin and Tsukuyomi -Moon Phase- tell the story of a girl who is a vampire going against vampire laws. Each heroine eventually meets a boy who will make her life more interesting, taking her away from her family's standards and protecting her from the outside world. Both anime also have a romantic tendency, and deal with the impossible love between a vampire and a human. In different ways, these two series contain lots of comical situations caused by the vampire's behavior. There is a certain bittersweet tinge to all good romances, in that dramatic style requires the lovers to be tested by circumstances -- they must prove to the audience that their love is true. This much, nearly all romances have in common. However, sometimes the nature of the trial is beyond the normal. Sometimes, the romance is faced with such a weight of doom and tragedy that it seems impossible to bear. This is the case with both Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora; with Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu. In a sense, these anime form a triad of tragic love stories, each of which is sure to be appreciated by anyone who likes the others. |
