Nothing that's along the lines of ecchi, harem or mecha. Ecchi-harem-comedies I would like to wipe off from the face of the earth. But I'm looking for something highly unconventional, nothing stereotypical or cliched. I'd like something with a reality to it, a believable plot would be nice not a must though as long as it has very real characters, I can't watch another Kentarou or Negi like characters neither another dumb airheaded girl My favourite anime is Nodame Cantabile, I do read Naruto/Bleach mangas though, so I do like twists in plots, and interesting stories Please help!! I need a good anime to watch My faith in anime has dwindled almost to nothing thanks to the same characters and emotions they portray in the same plot hole studded stories. Also, I rather not watch something with characters fighting bigger badder enemies all the time, I've already got Naruto and Bleach for that.

I was going for something more towards comedy, and I did read the synopsis for that anime before and passed it by. Although if you recommend it, I guess I'll watch it at night time then.

It's excellent and definitely not stereotypical. There aren't any magical girls or guys with gravity-defying hair.
