kreacher1986 wrote: Hey guys I'm after a series to watch. Haven't watched too much anime but the ones I have watched and liked include: Kanon club(loved this one) Shugo chara Can't remember name but starts with e and is about a telepathic serial killer with pink hair who loses her memory. One where where a guy goes it school and works in it and has 2 girls move in with him and they both fall for him but one turns out to be his long lost sister. A few other random ones. Pretty much I am after anything that is funny, but can has a bit of serious stuff to. Something that can make you laugh and cry at the same time. Something mature and can be either sci fi or fantasy. Romance with a slice of life sort of thing. If anyone understands what i mean and can help me out that would be great! Thanks in advance, Kreacher1986 i want to say he means elfen lied, but like, im not complete sure.. |

I want something similar to death note where the main character is pretty messed up and killing people. |

Name: DEWoody Anime that is similar to what I would like to be recommended: Eureka 7 ( just THAT type of anime in a nutshell) Main characters are centered around a relationship (like in Eureka 7) - very important, some love/relationship is needed. (please for the love of all that is right no HAREM or love triangles) Would prefer the main cast to have some type of family/friendship feel (similar to Gekkostate), however that isn't extremely important. Doesn't have to be mech, but a fighting/adventure atmosphere is preferred, not looking for a complete romance. Semi serious plot with humor undertones from time to time I understand this is pretty general, but I'm attached to anime like Eureka 7, but they are so hard to come by. A nice relationship with great animation/action. I also know Eureka 7 AO is out, but for right now I'm passing. |

@Kreacher - my sense is you're looking for school girl/coming of age/comedy/slice of life.
If so, I recommend: - The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (note, disregard the first episode... it's joke about a movie that the characters in the story made) - Seitokai no Ichizon - Azumanga Daioh Now... if you're looking for something more like Elfen Lied, I'd recommend: - Gun Grave - again, disregard the first episode... actually don't even watch the first episode, just start on 2. - Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom @Brekkelol - Code Geass - Another - Steins: Gate @DEWoody - Full Metal Panic (if you're ok with some fan serve) - Darker than Black - Escaflowne: If you don't mind older generation of art - Toradora: Doesn't have that action adventure aspect, but it is comical, romantic, and has both the fun and serious sides to the anime. - Spice and Wolf: I wasn't a particularly thrilled with this anime, but a lot of people love this anime, and it fits your genre I'm not sure if Shantalove was asking a request or giving out a recommendation... |

I will check them out. |

Name: allenskd I'm looking for similar series like: Usagi Drop Skip Beat! In general I'm looking for comedy, slice of life, nothing too serious or complex. I really loved Usagi Drop for that, it was simple and funny it didn't go overboard with the jokes |

CR ID / Name: Rokitex Fav anime titles that are similar to what I would like to be recommended: The Wallflower ,Ghost Hunt ,Hakuoki ,Death Note ,Black Butler ,Clannad ,Claymore ,Elfen Lied ,Vampire Knight ,Darker Than Black. Comments: I tend to like anime with supernatural/fantasy elements, but it isn't necessary. I like a bit of romance or romantic hints. Not really a fan of full on comedy, I generally prefer more serious anime most of the time. Aesthetics are extremely important to me, I'm looking for clean, sophisticated-looking graphics. I can't stand super cartoon feeling graphics (e.g., One Piece, Naruto, Hana Yori Dango) I know this is kind of vague, but a massive thank you to anyone who tries to help me out! ^_^ |

However, the animation is suburb. A show that would suit your tastes much better in terms of being more serious and having supernatural tones would be Baccano. |

Sunburnning this easily is getting ridiculous.

Thank you Sugar! I just watched the first ep of both. Princess Jellyfish actually seems really promising and I am definitely going to watch all of Baccano! Thank you again!!

CR ID / Name: karmacide I havn't seen a lot of anime, I just watched a few series on here that I liked. Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Kids on the slope School Days Love Hina You could add a lot of 'toonami' anime on there too, although what I'm really interested in is great character drama.. Giant robot battles and long martial arts tournaments don't interest me as much. Although something with great characters like Gundam 08th MS Team or the first season of robotech was good. But yeah, anything with a good story and characters. |
