Recommend me an Anime! **Read First Post!**

I know this doesn't really follow the guideliness
but if you love horror and gore I suggest you watch Another. It's basically an anime version of The Final Destonation(spelling?). |

CR ID / Name: yetimilk
Fav anime titles that are similar to what I would like to be recommended: code geass, elfen lied, durarara, eva, any gundam series, death note, another, FMA, darker than black, hell girl, case closed. Genres that I wish to be recommended: horror, mecha, romance, dark, mystery. Comments: i generally dislike animes that are really episodic, like mushishi (even though mushishi was pretty good), and i also dislike filler and vampires >.> thanks :3 |

Can somebody recommend an anime with a good (conclusive, not anti-climatic) ending? I liked the endings to Gosick, Welcome to the NHK, Madoka Magica, and Kuroshitsuji (and strongly disliked the ending to No.6.) It doesn't necessarily have to be a happy ending; I would just like to see one that effectively wraps up the story. I'm willing to try an anime from any genre.
Thank you. |

After checking you watch list, I think you might like to try these: - Angel Beats! (on CR) - Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Cowboy Bebop - Ano Natsu de Matteru (on CR) - Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai (on CR) Some movies: - Summer wars - Tokyo Godfathers |

Code Geass has my favorite ending from anything. Steins;Gate wraps things up pretty well, especially with the OVA. Katanagatari is climactic and conclusive Otherwise, I think you'd like: Ano Hana Angel Beats! Time of Eve Voices of a Distant Star |

mobile suit gundam 00 second season
Can't figure out why you would have the license to only half of this series Any series that you currently have that is incomplete would be appreciated by all. Unless its having zero viewers. Serial experiment Lain [ シリアルエクスペリメンツレイン ] definitely one of the best animes of all time |

i liked Asura Cryin' because of everything in it. The World God Only knows because of the storyline and i thought it was funny. Angel Beats because it was very well done and i liked everything. It was very sad but I still liked it. What animes would be somewhat similar to these 3?

Hi, weird situation here. I’m 24 and haven’t watched anime since I was in middle school. Didn’t grow to dislike it, just grew apart from friends that were into it and would recommend me new things. I was pretty big into anime like Chobits, Ranma, Slayers, Cow Boy Bebop, Outlaw Star, and Inuyasha (although I re-watched some of Inuyasha and realized it hasn’t aged well at all for me).
Lately I have been stressed by finishing up college and looking for a teaching job and have been getting back into anime. I Started by re-watching Ranma (good until about season 6). Then I saw that Rumiko Takahashi made it and saw Maison Ikkoku, I have to say when I finished it I believe that is my favorite anime. It didn’t have to rely on any wackiness; it was just about a college kid maturing over the years and a great realistic romance. Other than that I have watched Honey and Clover (pretty good), Bunny Drop (absolutely fantastic), Azumanga (biggest surprise, I thought I would hate its cutesy look. But it’s actually hilarious), Your Under Arrest (Great when it doesn’t feel too much like a sitcom), and Cross Game (great, but hard for me to get into the Baseball elements). Sorry about going a bit overboard with the background here. To sum it up the terms I learned relatively recently (so forgive me if I use them incorrectly). I’m not too into ‘moe’ or super cutesy stuff and I guess I’m a big fan of ‘Slice-of-Life’ anime that feels grounded in reality and has real human connections. Any recommendations you could give me would be greatly appreciated. |

I say check out Natsume Yujin-cho. It's pretty laid back and just one of those shows that like walking pace. Just read up on the synopsis to get a better idea as I'm not the best at explaining shows online. It's here on crunchyroll. I think it's worth the check out. And good luck on your life's endeavors. I hope you find a show that you like. |

Any recommendations you could give me would be greatly appreciated. I'm going to recommend a number of shows that have come out in the past year and are here on CR. Based on your description, I think you'll love Hanasaku Iroha. It is a slice-of life show about a young girl that's moved into her grandmother's traditional Japanese Inn. http://www.crunchyroll.com/hanasaku-iroha Chihayafuru is a cross genre show. It is a mix of slice-of-life and sports, with some romance thrown in. And it is an interesting look into a piece of Japanese culture. http://www.crunchyroll.com/chihayafuru I know this is a little different than what you asked, but I think you should try Ano Natsu de Matteru. It's a SF comedy/romance. http://www.crunchyroll.com/ano-natsu-de-matteru Finally, here are two shows that are wrapping up right now. The first is Tari Tari. It's another slice-of-life show. http://www.crunchyroll.com/tari-tari The other is more of a SF show. Kokoro Connect takes a number of worn-out SF tropes but puts a new spin on them, imo, while in a school setting. http://www.crunchyroll.com/kokoro-connect |
