jmallx wrote: Hello, I'm new to crunchyroll but not anime. I saw my first anime around 1992 on the scifi channel. Lensman, Robot Hunter Casshern, and then rented Bubblegum Crisis from Blockbuster. Anyways, my daughter is almost 5 yrs old and will probably be attending a total immersion japanese school Fall 2013. 50% Japanese speakers and 50% English. So I'm looking to expose her to the language. I remember a series (probably 2002) about a pre teen girl who is new in town and sees the latest sport which is fighting dolls (no bloodshed). I don't remember the name but think this COULD PROBABLY be appropriate for a 4 year old and hold my attention also (I'm 37). I know this isn't much to go on but I would appreciate any help Thanks in advance The anime you are thinking of is definitely Angelic Layer. It is age appropriate and also in English which will be helpful. You could let her watch it in both languages and she might start to pick some things up. Children's memories for things they like is incredible. I have a few more similar suggestions if you get bored. Kaleido Star and Battle Athletes Victory are age appropriate but without the fighting. They are both sort of sports anime. Also you might want to try Cardcaptor Sakura. All of these can be found in English as well. |

I like animes with centralized characters that are very powerful, more so I guess I would say almost like a super hero show. (Love all thoes movies like spider man, adventegers, ect). And i like it when the charcters have unordinary abilities that are unique. The ones i have seen and liked so far are: Hunter X Hunter Black Cat Naruto Yu yu Hakusho Inuyahsa So i want something along the lines of thoes Thanks :) Toaru Majutsu no Index Trigun Eureka 7 I haven't actually seen it but Getbackers xxxHolic maybe |

Some of my favorites are: -Xam'd: Lost Memories -Eureka 7 -Wolfs Rain -Fullmetal Alchemist -Kuragehime -Ergo Proxy -Code Geass -Panty and Stocking -Welcome to the NHK -Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 I know these are all very different in themes, but if you like the same stuff, and you have other favorites, please share. Also, I'll just put it out there that I'm not that big a fan on anime that is very "ditzy" and simple. I like complex things that really stick with you. I’m new at Crunchyroll, but a have seen a lot of different anime.
And now I’m looking for an anime with a strong female head character. That knows how to fight but still have boys falling for her. So if you have any suggestions please tell me. |

Allison & Lillia is a definite. Kino's Journey and Daughter of Twenty Faces both have strong female leads, but they're also fairly asexual series, so not a whole lot of "boys falling for them". Kaleido Star and Skip Beat might also work on the outside margin. I'd also consider Kaze no Stigma and Shakugan no Shana. |

This is what I could think of Mai-Hime, Medaka Box, Otogizoushi, Pumpkin Scissors, Samurai Girl Real Bout High School, Ikkitousen, Toradora Not really romance Wellber no Monogatari: Sisters of Wellber, Michiko to Hatchin, El Cazador de la Bruja, Fighting Beauty Wulong, Rideback Not really fighting Saiunkoku Monogatari, Stellvia of the Universe, Battle Athletes Victory |

So, I figure I watch too many action animes. I want to broaden my anime "horizons" by finding some good romance series. The closest I've seen to romance are:
Skip Beat! Total Eclipse The World God Only Knows Full Metal Panic Campione! Clannad There's more but excuse my brain. It's in derp mode for just waking up. Thanks for any recommendations. |

If so then; -My Little Monster -Say I Love You -Shuffle! -Kanon 2006 -Toradora -Fruits Basket -Wallflower -Ouran High School Host Club This is all I can come up with at the moment, it's pretty late here so my brain isn't working properly haha |

{REQUEST} I really love animes that have that -boy meets girl, girl meets boy, they fall in love and whatnot, and well, that kind of anime- I really like the kind that has almost no action other than real life type of action, I do watch the kind that have action though. So please tell me some that has that as well, I am watching "My Little Monster" "Say "I Love You"" and am loving them. Have seen "A Bridge to the Starry Skies" and loved it as well, Those are the kind of animes i like that have no alien magic crazy dragon type of magic. As for kind of animes that have crazy action, "Ano Natsu de Matteru" was amazing and fell in love with it. And the same with "Asobi ni Ikuyo" (Glad I Watched It Befor They Took Down About 10 Episodes.) If anyone knows of animes related to any of these that have that boy and girl that love each other but dont know it but they actually do know it and realize it all late and what not. Please tell me
Because i really enjoy them.(have also Seen "H20" And "Happiness" ) So Dont Recommend Those Because I Might Just Watch Them Again |

I always loved ghost stories, and I'm trying to find some good ones to watch, been hitting up the anime lately for them. But looking for any suggestions, doesn't have to be anime. I'm using the excuse that it is research for a project I'm hoping to write.
The marathon I've already watched:Dead Like Me (Not an Anime, but Awesome) Another (Not quite what I was looking for, the others are more like what I'm aiming at.) Dark Maiden of Amnesia Angel Beats Haibane Renmei Basically any show that takes a look at after life drama. I've got active subs to all the online services right now, so I'm hoping I can find them there... if not then I guess it is DVDs. Anyway, just hoping for some recommendations. I've been out of the anime loop for awhile now. |

There are a few more that have at least something to do with the after life. Natsuyuki Rendezvous Shikabane Hime: Aka Shigofumi Ginban Kaleidoscope Jigoku Shoujo Shinrei Tantei Yakumo |
