Recommend me an Anime! **Read First Post!**
|
I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for a story in a fantastical setting; something like Seirei no Moribito or Gankutsuou. I liked the complex characters, and the epic and well-written story arcs. I especially liked the almost mythical background in Seirei no Moribito, and the mixing of futuristic science and the supernatural in Gankutsuou. It wouldn't have to be a completely serious anime, either; I enjoyed the strange meta-twist on fairytales in Princess Tutu. Any suggestions?

I would suggest Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles (fantasy), Princess Tutu (fantasy and romance), Sgt. Frog (comedy), and maybe DNAngel (romance)? I don't remember anything inappropriate for 11 year olds in DNAngel but you might want to check it out. Maybe One Piece. It's longer, but it's an adventure/comedy about pirates. Also, if she hasn't seen it, Fruits Basket. |

I tend to like comedies, I like Slayers, Ranma, Sgt. Frog, the silly bits of Saber Marionette J (see my pic), Bo-bobo, Digi Charot Pinto, Squid Girl. Any other wacky suggestions??
Heartwarming romance also works. |

REQUEST
I'm looking for romance anime in which the main character makes his/her decision by the end instead of the all to common cliff-hanger or harem ending. Something similar to: - H2O: Footprints in the Sand - Toradora! - Clannad - Eureka Seven - A Bridge to the Starry Skies - Myself; Yourself - Kanokon - So, I Can't Play H! - Gosick - Ano Natsu de Matteru - Kimikiss: Pure Rouge - Shuffle - Suzuka - Mashiroiro Symphony As long as the romantic side of the anime come to a solid conclusion, please recomend. Also, If not on CR please include a good website for streaming if at all possible. Thanks in advance! |

Also, Cromartie High School, and Arakawa Under the Bridge (which is both a comedy and a heartwarming romance), and My Ordinary Life (one of my favorite comedies), and Is This a Zombie?. I find Hetalia to be pretty funny, but it's not for everyone. The World God Only Knows is funny, especially if you are a gamer, and it also has a lot of pop culture references in it. As for heartwarming romances, I would suggest Princess Jellyfish and Toradora!. My Little Monster is currently airing and is shaping up to be a decent RomCom. |

It is about a boy who goes to live with his aunt, in a town he used to visit. Despite the fact that he seems to have had a good time, and met a lot of people (Many of whom remember him still), he doesn't seem to recall any experiences in the town. It is kind of a harem, but the comedy isn't based off awkward situations like most harem comedy is, and yes, he does come to a conclusion on the girl he loves. It wasn't the girl I would have chosen, but most of the fans liked the choice, and it made perfect since considering the circumstances, so it still worked really well. Here is a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92fxSHfXO-M Also, Anohana: The Flower We Saw that Day might be a good fit. It is kind of hard to explain without spoiling things though. Also, be warned, that romance, while present, and is a major catalyst for many events in the story, is not the major point of the story. Also, while there is a solid conclusion, it is a very sad one. It is also on crunchyroll already. |

Honey and Clover (you may not like all of the final decisions, but some are good and it's a great show) is on Hulu. His and Her Circumstance. I don't have a site for it, but it is easy to find. |

Anyone know of any horror anime other than Hirugashi, Another, Elfen Lied and Dead Space? I have been looking, but I haven't turned anything up.
Also, some psychological dramas would be appreciated. I have seen Code Geass, Death Note, Monster, and Guilty Crown. |

Hi I'm looking for an anime somewhat like Angel Beats! and Black Rock Shooter. If there is an anime like mahou shoujo madoka magica that would be nice, too. I don't want anything with an age rating higher than 13+. I want some comedy and action. Thanks!

would like a good romance anime preferably something on crunchy roll.
Just and FYI i really enjoyed Mysterious Girlfriend X And Kokoro Connect (though they were short and i was sad kokoro connect didn't go more into the romance) but i would love a romance that is similar to those. |
