Usagi Drop <- you will want a daughter after this Summer Wars <- they are there, but its more about an otherall family than it is the kids specifically 5 Centimetres per second <- only for the first third of the movie but its great and you should see it anyway |

Something generally lighthearted and silly, Slayers (season 1), Ranma 1/2, Azumanga Daioh, Squid Girl, Bo-bobo anything of that wacky nature.
NO MOE EYES (they're kinda creepy) |

I would try: -A Certain Magical Index, characters in this one are intersting -Shakugan no Shana, pretty good main characters and plot -Wagnaria!!, this one is on CR it is strictly a comedy but it was pretty funny -Sword Art Online, it was written by the same person who wrote Accel World and it has some pretty cool action scenes and humor. -Ixion Saga DT, some pretty good humor in this one I also suggest you watch an episode from each of the simulcasts that are playing right now. You could find a couple that you like. |

I really enjoyed Sword Art Online, and I also really enjoy Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, Lucky Star, Strike Witches and a couple others (getting back into watching anime after a hiatus of life)
Any suggestions for someone into these titles? I currently added Vividred Operation, however I would like some more to watch whilst at work or on the road. Thanks! |

So hunter x hunter is probably my favorite anime. I'm looking for something similar to the things I like most about it.
Power progression. I like that it is a relatively slow and well explained and the fact that no ones powers are alike. I also like the great length they have to strategize for fights, and how technical they get. Those are the things I like most. I'm also a sucker for tournaments or organized fighting within an anime. I am not a fan of mechs at all. Any suggestions would be well appreciated. Thanks for the time. |

Its a lot like SAO in that video game players are put into a real lifeor death version of a video game on a desert island. Its based off a fairly new ongoing manga so theres only 12 episodes so far but its a good action series with a little bit of romance and a self sacrificing hero. Also no mascot animals or supernatural creatures. Also I know it doesn't quite match up with your requirements but check out Space Brothers(uchuu no kyodai). Its the best anime I've seen in the past year, but thats just my sole opinion. Its just a pleasure to watch each episode. Check it out Both series can be found on CR! |

Its made by the same guy who directed Bebop but instead of American West meets Jazz and Space you get Samurai meets Hip Hop. Great show and one of my all time favs. Also the same English voice actor who voiced Spike voices one of the main characters in Champloo. Action and graphics really great as well. Musics not as good as Bebops(but then again how many series do?) but its still very good. |

Second the motion on: Samurai Champloo Legend of Legendary Heroes Might Also check out... Dragonaut: The Resonance After witnessing what looks like a murder by a strange creature, Jin Kamishina, a lonely 18-year-old boy who lost his family in a shuttle accident two years ago, gets involved with the ISDA and their efforts to battle the dragons from Thanatos. Helping him is Toa, a mysterious girl who saves him from falling to his death after the creature attacks him. As they delve deeper into the mysteries of the dragons, they encounter new friends and enemies, and also develop a closer relationship. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragonaut:_The_Resonance Moon Phase: The story is about the relationship between freelance photographer Kouhei Morioka and Hazuki, a young girl who descends from a royal vampire lineage. At the beginning of the story, Kouhei travels to a castle in Germany to take photographs of paranormal phenomena for his friend Hiromi, who is the editor of an occult magazine. At the castle, Kouhei meets Hazuki, who feeds on Kouhei's blood and claims him as her unwilling servant. Although this "blood pact" is supposed to bind Kouhei to Hazuki as her obedient slave, her act has no effect on Kouhei. Following an action-packed sorcerers' battle in which Kouhei and his cousin manage to free Hazuki from her captivity in the dreary castle, Hazuki travels to Tokyo, and takes up residence with Kouhei in his grandfather's house in Japan. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsukuyomi:_Moon_Phase Vampire Knight Yuki's earliest memory is of a stormy night in winter, where she was attacked by a vampire... And then rescued by another. Now 10 years later, Yuki Cross, the adopted daughter of the headmaster of Cross Academy, Kaien Cross, has grown up and become a guardian of the vampire race, protecting her childhood crush, Kaname, from discovery as he leads a group of vampires at the elite boarding school. But also at her side is Zero Kiryu, a childhood friend whose hatred for the creatures that destroyed everything he held dear leaves him determined never to trust them. This coexisting arrangement seems all well and good, but have the vampires truly renounced their murderous ways, or is there a darker truth behind their actions? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vampire_Knight Maybe: Eureka Seven (personally this one got on my nerves at times and I never finished it). Sci Fi Romanace [teen ANGST!] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eureka_Seven Heroic Age: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heroic_Age_%28anime%29 Mystic Archives of Dantalian http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mystic_Archives_of_Dantalian |
