For horror, I'd second the recommendation for Monster.

Unfortunately none of these are available here and I don't know of any to recommend that are:

Shiki
<--------- obviously I'm a fan of that one; some people didn't get into it because it's a slow-starter, so you'd have to be the judge.

Ghost Hunt (also by Fuyumi Ono, who did Shiki)
Ghost Hound (unrelated to Ghost Hunt)

Higurashi: When They Cry and Umineko: When They Cry (this one's a little hard to find, but Higurashi, not so much)

And some that I don't know if most would consider horror, but they're categorized that way in a lot of listings:

Deadman Wonderland (despite a not-great ending, good anyway)
Elfen Lied (very gory straight out of the gate)
Blood: The Last Vampire/Blood +/Blood C (quality of these is debatable, I've seen lots of negative reviews, but I liked them)
Dead Space (movie, again debatable quality, but I liked)
Hellsing Ultimate

Deadman wonderland would be a good one I think if he liked horror. I do agree with you that it doesn't fit the horror section. It still is a darker anime. And yea the ending was kinda disappointing since the manga went on hiatus.

Well for straight mecha you always have the Gundam series. Id reccomend watching Gundam Unicorn.

Now if you want both mecha + ecchi without as much seriousness but still not all randomness you can try Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari, and gurren lagann.

Please recommend me something new. something that is underrated but really awesome. anything that is popular right now, (or these last years) i probably have watched or read already.. so i'm looking for something new. i'm open for any genre except for well, ecchi

Can you show me a list of the animes you've watched? I know a lot of people just website like animeplanet to keep track of what they have seen.

If you can do that I can reccomend you an anime. I don't just wanna throw out an anime you might not like since its just wasting your time. Helps if to see you a little of your prefrence and I can reccomend one easier.

Also im still curious if anyone can reccomend an anime similiar to Shounen Onmyouji. I love historical supernatural stuff. And ive pretty much seen all the popular ones. I've of course been searching trying to find the lesser known ones that are good. But I haven't had any luck with that.

Man when you said you've probably seen everything you really have haha.

I'll list some animes below. Ill try to list some animes from multiple genres. I could of course list more animes then I did. But it would be to many. If you ever want something more specific tell me and I'll reccomend more animes that fit.

Major! (Its a sports anime about baseball. It covers from his childhood all the way to professional baseball. This is essentially my favorite sports anime. I've watched the full series about 3 times which is about 130 episodes each time.)
I have other great sports anime if you are looking for more good sports anime.

Valkyria Chronicles (Its a good anime. Currently rewatching it. Its action, war, military genre.

Saiunkoku Monogatari (Its a drama, romance, political, shoujo)

Eden of the East (Another good series. Honestly I started watching it not expecting much. But it was very good I think. It is mystery suspense, highstake game. Guy has amnesia and they use that very well in the plot.)

Tower of Druaga: the Aegis of Uruk (action, fantasy, adventure, magic, with some comedy. It was good and has a sequel)

Eureka 7 lacks the blood/violence I think haha.

Perfect anime that fits mostly what you want is deadman wonderland. But its only 12 episodes long. But it definatly has the blood/violence with good animation quality I think. Story not bad either. Though the series essentially never really ended. Manga went on hiatus. I think there will be a 2nd season eventually. Thats only my opinion tho.

Break Blade - Its a series of 6 movies 50min each. That counts for the time limit of about 15 episodes. Mecha, violence war. Great story line with great anime quality. Part of the reason im listing this is because the anime quality is great. Its also on CR.

Jormungand - Mature with blood and violence in it. Good story line. Deals with an arms dealer. Its split into 2 seasons. Each season is 12 episodes. So in total its 24 episodes once you once both seasons.

Total Eclipse - mecha, action, violence, sci-fi. 24 episodes total also on CR. Though the ending doesn't really conclude anything. Seems like there should be a 2nd season. Probably depends on how sells do.

Seems like you love the shoujo romance comedy section.

If you want something thats plot driven mind blowing. Steins; Gate would be a good choice. Its sci-fi, suspense, sychological, thriller.
Just to add. I have not watched Steins;Gate. I am reccomending it based off of what I hear from my friend. He loves psychological shows that mess with the mind.

For something that is shoujo which you seems to like you might wanna try Saiunkoku Monogatari. It has 2 seasons both contain 39 episodes, so 78 in total. Romance, political. Though its heavy on the romance part.

If you want a detective anime (since you watched detective conan), I'd say try Un-go. Sadly its only 11 episodes but its a supernatural, detective, mystery. I found it to be a good anime. This anime last I checked is also on CR.

Okay, so I have a list of my favorite anime, I would like recommendations with the same feel to these.

But to be honest for anime in general I have a few wants: Connections to the characters. Emotional moments.
I truthfully would love some beautiful graphics. I enjoy all types of genres, love stories, dark stories, action stories.
But I get really aggravated with anime that I do enjoy that is abruptly ended(ie. DGrayMan). I also enjoy good music to add to the feel of the anime(ie. Kamisama kiss' ending song, or the way in Naruto during a sad moment they play that music and no matter it being the 100th time you've seen Naruto's sad story, it still makes your chest tighten. Good music is key . I also really enjoyed the feel to K projects music, the feel was real nice :)) I enjoy out there topics and ideas(ie. Kokoro Connect).

I know this isn't specific, because I enjoy such a broad variety.. I find it hard to ask for a specific type, but want to find a good next project. I do however really hope for decent quality graphics, an anime I recently watched didnt have too well of graphics and I found it difficult to finish, sorry for the trouble..

Maybe those of you who have watched a lot could think of something if I give you the names...
