Any good anime movies you'd recommend?

Not sure if that was to someone in particular, but I'd say Summer Wars. I haven't even watched it yet, but I've heard very good things about it from reviewers I highly respect, so I'll be watching it as soon as I find it in decent quality anywhere.

I already saw that one.
It was cute. Anything else?

What -kind- of movie are you looking for? I tend to watch darker stuff.

I liked all three Ghost in the Shell movies, although they're all different in their own way. If you like the first Ghost in the Shell I'd recommend Jon-Roh: The Wolf Brigade since I felt it affected me in a similar way.

Then there's Satoshi Kon's directorial filmography, which includes Paprika, Millennium Actress, Perfect Blue, Tokyo Godfathers, and the Magnetic Rose chapter of Memories.

For classics there's Akira and Grave of the Fireflies.

For hyperviolence there's Afro Samurai and Afro Samurai: Resurrection (only dub I love).

Recently there's been the three Berserk Golden Age movies, Egg of the High King, Battle for Doldrey, and Descent (coming soon). The CGI isn't always perfect but it's good enough, and the story is extraordinary.

Rebuild of Evangelion has deviated enough from the source material to make worth watching by itself.

I assume you've seen Makoto Shinkai's movies; 5 Centimeters per Second, Voices of a Distant Star, The Place Promised in Our Early Days, Children Who Chase Lost Voices, and The Garden of Words (coming soon).

Shorter movie-type OVAs would be Cencoroll, The Pale Cocoon, and Hotarubi no Mori e.

I also enjoyed Escaflowne: A Girl in Gaea; it had something intangible I miss in more recent animation.

If you've watched Eden of the East I'd suggest the movies The King of Eden and Paradise Lost. Mostly I hear people say they preferred the show but I thought the movies were enjoyable in their own right.

If you liked Fate/Zero I'd suggest checking out the Kara no Kyoukai / Garden of Sinners movie series.

From the Waring States Period there's The Sword of the Stranger, which was wonderfully animated.

If you've seen The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya you MUST watch The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. It'll be great either way, but the level of amazement is halved if you haven't seen the series first.

I think that summarizes my MAL. Besides Hayao Miyazaki, but seriously.

I would prefer original movies that don't have anime series relations but these are good.
I've seen the Berserk anime and loved it. I want to watch the movies but they're not finished yet, right?

I'll check these out, thanks.
Especially Millennium Actress.
I've heard nothing but good things about it.

EDIT.

I saw the whole Haruhi series + the movie and they were amazing!
Higashi no Eden series + the 1st movie as well. They were good.

Will try Garden of Sinners.

Yeah, Berserk, Golden Age: Descent isn't out yet as far as I'm aware.

And I'm pretty confident in recommending Garden of Sinners although I can't be 100% sure.

But there's a lot to like about it, including the artistic fidelity and mystery.

BEFORE I FORGET, I forgot to mention Garden of Sinners pulled a Haruhi Suzumiya, where the release order and chronological order aren't the same. But there are reasons for it, so it's not just like a weird thing they did.

But I can give you the chronological order here.

1-2-3-4-5-6-7 is the release order.
2-4-3-1-5-6-7 is the chronological order.
1-2-4-3-5-6-7 is the recommended order from a Podtaku discussion, which is chronological except that the first film (which was made as the introduction to everything) is placed first instead of put in the middle.

Hi, I'm a new premium member and I'm looking for suggestions on something to watch on crunchyroll. Anime series that I've watched and love are Rurouni Kenshin, Dragonball Series, Darker than Black, Ladies vs Butlers and Devil May Cry.

I'm not sure if all of these are available in your region, but five I'd start out with are:

Attack on Titan (the most popular show so far this season).
Blue Exorcist (shonen battle anime contained in 26 episodes).
Gargantia of the Verdurous Planet (futuristic slice-of-life).
The Pet Girl of Sakura Hall (energetic romantic comedy with great art).
Sword Art Online (an enjoyable gateway series with nice art).

I'm not really sure which genres I prefer but I cannot watch horror no matter how bad the quality is. I'm not really familiar with anime terminology besides the words otaku, ecchi and yaoi (but those are not my preferences lol!) I'd love a recommendation that is similar to Gintama or an anime you think is as good as Gintama. Or just a recommendation on any anime that you love with many episodes. :)
