Aoi Hana is a classic of the genre. It's based off of a manga by Takako Shimura, who also wrote the incredible series Wandering Son. The former is one of the best shows of the yuri genre, at least in terms of characterization. It takes a serious look at young love as complicated by emerging identity. I think of Wandering Son as Shimura's best work, but Aoi Hana rests more comfortably in the yuri genre.

You triple posted a little bit. Are you using Chrome?

In addition to what you listed, I would suggest:

Afro Samurai (Not very intellectual, but it's got the same horrific hyperviolence as Hellsing Ultimate).
Aoi Bungaku (This is the kind of horror that's about true stories of real people with broken lives).
Bakemonogatari (This isn't horror really, but somehow I feel like it belongs on this list in any case).
Berserk (The 1996 anime if the style doesn't bother you; otherwise the movies did an alright enough job).

(Bakemonogatari).

Black Rock Shooter (Pretty confusing and too short by half, but plays up the psychological brutality).
Ergo Proxy (Another dystopian science fiction horror piece; raison d'etre is a recurring theme).
Fate/Zero (Gen Urobuchi given rein to play around in the Fate Universe; what's not to love).
Ghost in the Shell (The original movie from 1995; or Ghost in the Shell: Innocence from 2004).

(Ergo Proxy).

Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade (A special forces soldier suffering from PTSD during riots in the 1950s).
Kara no Kyoukai (A superbly twisted movie series by Ufotable; watch in release order for the full experience).
Kokoro Connect (Five children are tormented by an alien being they only know as Heartseed).
Mardock Scramble (An allegorical story of a sexually abused young girl given the chance to save herself).

(Kara no Kyoukai).

Neon Genesis Evangelion and End of Evangelion (I'd consider these psychological horror).
Parasite Dolls (Futuristic dystopian science fiction; kind of like Ghost in the Shell except less restrained).
Perfect Blue (A classic psychological horror anime movie; very very very very very very strongly recommended).
Psycho-Pass (You know about this one already; I'd recommend it though; I thought it was exceptional).

(Mardock Scramble).

Serial Experiments Lain (If you can handle the older animation style, this series is unparalleled mindfuckery).
Shin Sekai Yori (An incredibly unique and fascinating Jungian/Freudian horror anime from last year).
Texhnolyze (The history of the human race condensed into one man's life; same team that did Lain).
Zetman (Not the greatest story ever made, but alright if you don't know what's missing from the manga).

(Serial Experiments Lain).

Edit: And of course there's always Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica (if you haven't seen it you probably should).

Try "Kore wa Zombie desu ka?" if you haven't already
There is also the sequel to it "Kore wa Zombie desu ka? of the dead"
pretty much action comedy supernatural
it has hints of harem but its not really the focus, the harem is just there so don't worry about that too much

"Arakawa Under the Bridge" is a good comedy
rich guy who doesn't like being in debt to anyone has his life saved by a girl who lives under a bridge. he then goes on to live with her and he meets some questionable people who also live near the bridge

"Bakemonogatari/Nisemonogatari" is pretty funny at times if you like the wordplay and dialogue between characters, has a somewhat small amount of action scenes interspersed, the characters are interesting to say the least
I may recommend this one but some people may not like the show much because of the animation style of SHAFT or that it seems a little nonsensical at times

"Muromi-san" is one of my favorite comedies from the Spring 2013 season
its pretty much in your face comedy in 15 minute episodes involving mermaids

"Yuyushiki" is also one of my top picks from the Spring 2013 season
its a slice of life school life comedy involving three girls and their club activities with more characters getting involved over time

I've already seen a few episodes of Arakawa, and I like it, but not enough to watch it all at once. I'll look into the others, thanks!

Well PauPow, I think that I can recommend you the following series:

Crunchyroll | Gintama
Gintama is, in my opinion, funny, but can be a bit of work though because the first 20 or so episodes are introducing characters while being funny/action-packed. I actually had to jump episodes before watching the episodes in order.

"Gintama is a story of a handyman named Gintoki, a samurai with no respect for rules set by the invaders, who's ready to take any job to survive."

Crunchyroll | SKET Dance
It's like Gintama, but set in the modern times.

"At Kaimei High School, the Living Assistance Club (aka the Sket Brigade) was organized to help students with problems big or small. Most of the time, though, they hang out in their club room, bored, with only a few trivial problems floating in every once in a while. In spite of this, they still throw all their energy into solving these worries."

Crunchyroll | Seitokai no ichizon
Now this one is a harem, but if you can overlook that, I believe you'll like this series.

"The private high school Hekiyo Gakuen selects its student council members by a special system; by pure “popularity vote.” As a result, “cute chicks” are selected as Council members. But is it truly appropriate to choose those who will take the Council’s important positions just by their popularity and looks? To resolve this problem, the “honor student system” is also adopted. A top student from each grade can participate in the Council."

Note: I'm sorry if you can't get into any of these series as this is my first time doing recommendations.

Well Crunchyroll has no shortage of Comedies.

I would recommend the following:

Lucky Star: Girls in a high school setting. Lots of Otaku references.
My Ordinary Life: Weird, often absurd humor that's reminiscent of Azumanga Daioh, but not as grounded in reality.
Mitsudomoe: More adult themed and gross out humor about 6th grade girls. Very funny.
Squid Girl: About a young squid girl who wants to take over the world but mostly just ends up hanging out at a beach house diner.
Wagnaria!!: Very funny slice of life about working in a restaurant.

I could recommend others but I'll leave it as a short list since I don't know what kind of sub genres you prefer.
