Looking for some Slice of Life recommendations that are on par with what I've already seen: Space Brothers, PlanetES, Steins; Gate, Silver Spoon, Clannad, Toradora!, Angel Beats!, Anohana, Natsume, and Nichijou.

Some of those aren't slice of life, they're character dramas.

Ano Natsu de Matteru (Same studio and director as Toradora)
Chihayafuru
Hanasaku Iroha (Same series composition person as Anohana and Toradora)
Kimi no Todoke
Occult Academy (Same director and studio as Silver Spoon)
Saki
Tari Tari
Usagi Drop
Wagneria (It's a comedy but I think you'll like it)

I enjoyed it. I watched it this summer and finished it in about a week it was a good ride. Don't watch while drunk or high though.

IMO, it's an absolutely amazing anime. It's up there in my top ten. But of course it all depends on your preferences in the end. I'd suggest giving it a watch, if you decide to stick with it then make sure to watch the OVA after you've finished it.

Yes it is, the best shonen ever made in my opinion. It can get really dark don't let the beginning fool you.

Has anyone seen the new Space Battleship Yamato series? And should I watch it?

I don't want to overhype it for you, but it's kind of really amazing. It's not really the best show ever episode-by-episode, but I definitely watched episodes 30-90 in about 2 weeks lol. It's very easy to watch once it really gets going.

As of yesterday, I've rewatched Code Geass for maybe the third or fourth time.

After that, I started to feel pretty lost. I can't find any other animes I like. I've watched quite a bit, my favorites mainly being sword art online & code geass. I watch naruto, and I've watched series such as durarara, angel beats, toradora, anohana, total eclipse, horizon in the middle of nowhere, and a few others. (to name a few.)

Currently I'm really looking for something that's close to the quality of CG or SAO. Something short, and really great.
Any suggestions?

Repost from my thread, posted here due to recommendation by TrueGoober.
Edit: Any genre is okay, trying to stay away from slice of life right now though.

I'll repost my recommendations here then lol EDIT: I made them better.

Shin Sekai Yori (fantasy, mystery, psychological, horror, romance)
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (2012) (shounen, action, supernatural, general manliness)
Kuroko's Basketball (shounen, sports, comedy)
The World God Only Knows (shounen, harem, romance, comedy, supernatural)
Bakemonogatari (seinen, supernatural, mystery, psychological, romance, comedy [it's a lot of things])
Magi (shounen, action, fantasy, comedy)
Attack on Titan (just in case you haven't yet) (shounen, ACTION, fantasy, psychological, suspense)
Death Note (shounen, psychological, suspense)

If you're wondering which to watch first, you can't really go wrong with any of them if you ask me.
Shin Sekai Yori and AoT are pretty heavy, but the intensity is what makes them good.
Bakemonogatari is really strange, if you're looking for a change of pace. It kind of has a learning curve of sorts, but now I love it to death.
JoJo's as a manga series is legendary. The show starts off okay, but only gets better. Also, it has amazing music.
Kuroko's, TWGOK, and Magi are all better than their premises make them out to be lol
Death Note is often compared to Code Geass, and is similarly awesome.

Looking for some Slice of Life anime.

It will be challenging because I'm a little bit particular and have seen a lot already.

My specifications:

Takes place in 'present day'
No sci-fi elements
No magical elements (a small amount like Clannad is ok though)
Preferably a comedy or has comedic elements to it
I want a serialized series, so nothing too episodic (I don't like new characters and challenges introduced every episode like SKET Dance or The World God Only Knows)
No Yaoi, though small amounts of Yuri is ok (Like YUYUSHIKI)
Preferably an anime made in the 2000's (Most 90's slice of life is too melodramatic)
Doesn't have to be on Crunchyroll (I'm pretty intimately familiar with what I do and don't like in the CR catalog already).

Some of my favorites are: Chihayafuru, Bakuman, Chuunibyou, Azumanga Daioh, Nodame Cantabile, and many many more. Please reference my master list of Anime that I've watched on my Anime Planet page when making a suggestion:

Thanks for the help.

I know I didn't have a suggestion, but I look at your reference list and seen all the slice of life shows you watch.

Could you recommend me something that's similar to "Welcome to the N.H.K"? Please.

Welcome to the NHK is a pretty unique anime so it's hard to find something similar. I'm not super into the hardcore Otaku culture type of anime, as I tend to go more for school life and romantic comedies.

Bakuman is about the career of two young manga authors, it shows their day to day adventures in trying to make it in the industry and has a little bit of romance as well.. It spans 3 seasons and 75 episodes.

Kuragehime/Princess Jellyfish is an 11 episode series comedy about a group of geeky female Otaku's who live together and get befriended by a cross dressing guy. It sort of has a similar vibe to NHK in a way.

The highest recommended anime for people who like Welcome to the NHK is 'Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.' I guess it also has to do with suicide and other weirdness with the main character. I didn't like the animation style though so I never got into that show.

People also recommend 'Genshiken' in relation to NHK, which is about a college club of Otaku's. For some reason I never felt like watching that one, but maybe I'll give it a go sometime.

Yea i remember you made a topic and i responded but...u know mods...lol
This is what i said:
Oh god, so depressing...
It's not really similar but Chobits had a similar feel to it, you can definitely make comparisons to the two.
Round Table sang the opening for both coincidentally.

Yeah before it got lock and everything, but anyway I have to started Chobits again because I watch the first episode and was like "I seen this before". It reminded me of Heaven Lost Property and that's bad.
