Hello, So I am looking for an anime that has action and romance. No ecchi please.
These are the ones that I have watched so far:
Rave Master
Inuyasha
Fushigi Yuugi
Eden of the East
D.N. Angel
Kaze no Stigma
Sword Art Online
Blast of Tempest
Soul Eater
Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet

Depending on how you meant action, the first one that popped into my head was Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal, a seinen samurai romantic tragedy. It's a 4-episode OVA series from 1999 with a substantial amount of violence.

More conventionally, there's:

Bakemonogatari.
Beyond the Boundary.
Durarara!!.
Garden of Sinners.
Guilty Crown.

And for a dash of comedy, The Devil is a Part-Timer!.

Can anyone recommend an anime that would make you cry similar to the extent of Angel Beats or Clannad ? <3

Hi i have a very simple problem, I really love Kill La Kill so much so that i subscribed just to watch it on my apple tv. Any way I did some research and found that the makers of Kill La Kill also made Gurren Lagann! so naturally I started watching that. I wasn't sold at first but then ended having the perfect storm of being sick and having some days off. Now is where the issue begins. WHAT SHOULD I WATCH NEXT!?!?!?

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

i also like: (in no particular order)
Cowboy Bebop
FLCL
Trigun
FullMetel Alchemist
Almost any thing having to do with raves
Tales from Earthsea
.Hack
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
Afro Samurai
Out Law Star !
Vexille (i mean the sound track is Paul Oakenfold, come on!)

I'm going to double up on you two. For Shmerber, I suggest checking out Magi. It's adventureous and quite the great show. The animation fantastic and really matches the feel and look of the Manga along with that colorful style. Truely, A-1 knows what they're doing.

On recommendations, I'm going with the more Adventurous style of Anime, because atching Magi has captured that adventurous feel Anime of my childhood(Dragonball) always had. Speaking of Dragonball, you should watch it! While DBZ became an action centerpiece, the Adventure of collecting the 7 Magical Dragonballs still holds up today. I've just recently rewatched up to the 4th Season... No mater how many times i see it, Mercenary Tao always amazes me with his crazy feats of power, while Krillin's first death always makes me cry.

Kingdom(Anime), The Slayers, and Soul Eater are my suggestions. They're all actiony-titles with great world building and a hefty feel of adventure to them. They're all 50+ in episodes as well! You have plenty of content if you're looking for something to really sink your teeth into, all three of them have plenty to offer.

What type of cry? We talking bitter-sweet crying or tears of joy? Or are you just looking for something emotionally strong? I got a number of'em for yah!

Now and Then, Here and There - highly regarded short series here. these 12ish Episodes I saw on Hulu+ in English...and it was amazing. The story is dark and cruel and.... Just, go watch it. It's about a young Japanese boy whose accidently sent to another world and forced to become a child soldier, along with all the cruelties a world on the brink could offer. No seriously, I'm talking like...heavy shit here. It's amazing! Don't spoil it for yourself tho, just go look into it. It's visually amazing despite the dated 1999 release date, I'm serious! Give it a try.

Anohana, Kids on the Slope, Ef - A Tale of Memories, Kokoro Connect. All of these are avalible on Crunchyroll and are highly similar to Angel Beats and Clannad. I suggest watching these if you're up for a good time and a decent cry. These are all on the more recent anime and have great production values. My favorite among them is Ef(Watch out! It's sequel "A Tale of Melodies" is alphabetically ahead of Memories! Don't get fooled! It's a direct sequel!) Shatf's crazy visuals put to a Visual Novel adaptation!

Katanagatari - literally Sword Story, of the "Gatari" school of writing. It's a different setting and an earlier work, but you can kinda see where the Monogatari-guy will be in the future! This is a 12-episode 1-Hour per Series about a Swordsman and Self-proclaimed Strategist go on a journey to collect 12-Legendary Katana's spread around Japan. Do not, I repeat, Do not, Do not, Do not Spoil yourself and read the Wikipedia article or look at a few google images of it. Just watch this series, and be ready to cry at any moment... because it's going to happen. No fucking doubt in my mind, as long as you don't spoil yourself.

Recommend me an anime with a confident main character.

...Someone who isn't afraid of expressing himself, even though he would offend others...
& doesn't care about people's opinion about himself...

If the he can also be a she, Balsa is a fantastic MC from Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit.

In the first episode alone she:

Others would include:

Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Plenty of confident characters with big plans all over the place.

Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade (Hulu). Movie.
Sword of the Stranger (Hulu). Movie.

And if you haven't seen them:

Eden of the East (Hulu).
Ergo Proxy (Hulu). Also a female MC.

I want to watch Moribito again, but I seem to have forgot where I saw it last time. I thought I watched it on crunchyroll but its not here.

I think it used to be.

I'm not sure where to find it legally until Viz Media's streaming site Neon Alley goes f2p in April.

Maybe, maybe not. Crunchyroll bids on pretty much every new series but I could also see it going to Funimation since they have the license for the first series. It could even be simulcast by both parties like what they do with One Piece and Attack on Titan. Only time will tell.
