Thanks in advance... :)

If the he can also be a she, Balsa is a fantastic MC from Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit.

In the first episode alone she:

Others would include:

Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Plenty of confident characters with big plans all over the place.

Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade (Hulu). Movie.
Sword of the Stranger (Hulu). Movie.

And if you haven't seen them:

Eden of the East (Hulu).
Ergo Proxy (Hulu). Also a female MC.

I've seen Moribito, Galactic heroes and Sword of the Stranger already...
I think I'd check out Eden of the East...
Thanks for your recommendation anyway...

I'm looking for a romance anime. I've been a die hard romance anime fan for years and have seen a lot of series but now am at a loss. All I can find now are ones with crap harem endings or no romantic resolution. I know very well that this is a vague request but I'm looking for a Romance anime for the romance die hard fan. I've seen all the major titles so I'm looking for a diamond in the rough. An anime that doesn't hit the romance anime search but still has a great story. Again, vague I know, but any thing could help.

Koi Kaze: This may be one of the heaviest "romance" anime I have seen due to its subject matter. This is an anime presents the most mature and realistic portrayal of incest I have ever seen in an anime

PlanetES: Part slice of life, part space drama and part romance. This show has a few things going for it (although the beginning isn't exactly the greatest) and it hits hard right in the heart.

Katanagatari: Mostly dialogue and action, however the relationships are surprisingly well developed and interesting. Watch out though, spoilers for this one are far too common.

Rec: Pretty much pure romance but it comes at things from a different angle as all of the other shows I have seen.

Hope that helps ^.^

Saw REC, the anime was great but a point in the manga ruined it.

Koi Kaze: Not interested in biological incest. I don't mind step or adopted siblings, in fact that's a favorite of mine.

Planets already on to be watched list

Katanagatari looks good, thank you for that one. I appreciate the reply. So it's shonen with romance then...

Thanks!

@ -Gothique-: Koi Kaze isn't about whether or not you are "interested" in incest...its pretty much supposed to make you feel uneasy. I suppose it may not be the greatest for someone looking for romance but it is very well done and I really do highly recommend it!

Also, Katanagatari isn't really a shonen...its hard to describe. It takes a generic shonen premise and covers it in a lot of dialogue and great character development. Its a strange beast and I've never really seen anything else like it...

actually it is a matter of interest because I'm not interested in watching biological incest. All I did was state my preference with no intention of debate.

Well gee okay...I wasn't trying to debate with you or anything (more like I was trying to remedy any misconceptions that may have occurred from the way I described the shows), I was just saying that its not a series for people who like watching incest, its a series for people who want a show with realistic characters and interesting, thought provoking situations. No need to be so standoffish...

Just go watch Katanagatari

Im not sure what i want but i kinda want something a little over the top and full of action like the new anime kill la kill, or gurren lagann.
i dont mind if its not over the top, i like action in general.

I also like comedy(like My ordinany life) or romantic comedy (like in My little monster, and Onee-chan ga kita.)

also some good slice of life anime(go crazy with this one, ive enjoyed the random ones all the way to the serious ones)

Have you seen FLCL (link) and/or the six Diebuster OVAs? Both are fairly in line with something like TTGL.

They start out kind of bumbling and comedic, and then dial everything past 11 in the finale.

Here's an in-depth Recommendation of the Great series One Piece, if u've been interested but hesistant because of the length or art style before.

I recommend One Piece to those who haven't tried it yet, for having 2nd thoughts on the series because of the 4kids watered down version we used to have, After 4kids went under, Funimation then obtained the rights and did the series justice with its amazing dub, and now its on Crunchyroll so you can experience, the best quality subbed version the Japanese got influenced by that made it become so popular over there. Its actually a very mature show regardless of the childlike/early slow start. The buttery animation and kid nature is an illusion of the start of the series, the animation improves significantly when it becomes HD at episode 207, the art style grows on you and you'll end up loving it, And then the series keeps escalating and escalating to amazing action scenes, revelations, and huge masterful conclusions to keep you on the edge of your seat. I admit it does take awhile at first but if you stick with it, this show will most likely become your favorite series, be wary of (Episode 8-19), thats the only childish part, maybe along with the Buggy arc (Ep 5-8), but in terms of East Blue arc, Don Krieg/Baratie Arc (Ep 21) and Arlong Park Arc (Ep 31, fan-favorite arc) will most likely get you to start liking it, Alabasta (Desert Island) and Skypeia (Sky Island) are even more amazing than East Blue but the Water 7 Arc (Ep 229, most peoples favorite arc along with Marineford) will reward you for sticking with the series the most after all those episodes and you'll be a permanent fan of the show at that point.

And it keeps getting better and better, the series starts off slow only to get you connected to the characters and to get you adapted to the excellent world building and so thats why it starts you off at the bottom of the slope I'm posting in the bottom. So don't drop it at the bottom of the slope, keep with it, the episode length is a strength of the series because the creator planned the entire series from the begining and the quality just keeps improving with each arc and doesn't stop going. You can almost split the series up into separate anime series because each arc has its own theme about, like the Sky Island,A Nightmare Before Christmas Dark Style Setting Arc, Marineford War, The World Goverment arc, Desert Island Arc, etc. So yea I highly recommend this amazing series, There adding 30 episodes each Saturday night. Oh, one last thing, One Piece is the best selling manga in history (you can confirm this on the wiki), its huge in Japan, not to equate sales with quality but One Piece Truly Deserves the Title in my opinion, I'm caught up and this show is still so compelling, and keeps me guessing whats gonna happen next, and the quality of the series is still going strong 600+ episodes in, and also it barely has alot of Filler despite the episode count!!!

Thats alot of words lol, Here's also an Unbiased Youtube Review Of One Piece:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRneRS1txws
