Do any real gamers prefer 360 over PS3?

I'm talking those who are not fanboys. I'm talking those who get every system, not just the one that's the most popular. I'm talking those who know about games, and don't play Call of Doody.

PS3 started out as a joke, but it has become leaps and bounds better than 360 as far as exclusive games, both in quality and quantity. At this point, Xbox has Gears, Halo, Forza, Fable, and Alan Wake. I'd rather not go over the exhaustive list of PS3 exclusives, but to name a few big ones I care about, we have Uncharted, MGS, and Yakuza.

Move combines the best of Wii and Kinect, while Kinect on its own is worthless and that's what Microsoft is shaping their company around. It works well with dancing and workout games, but using it in context is retarded. Pretending I'm holding a steering wheel, holding my arms in the air and swaying back and forth, it's just terrible.

That Disneyland Adventures game started out as exactly what I've been craving. An exact replication of Disneyland to hang out in? But then they had to ruin it by making each ride be a stupid Kinect minigame where you're just holding your arms in the air and collecting coins. I'd rather just watch the attractions as they are in Disneyland. Being able to act like I'm on Space Mountain at home is gold. Playing lame ass floating Kinect games is not.

So there's my mini rant. I'm wondering, from the perspective of people who actually care about games, is there anyone who would disagree with me here?

I prefer PS3. Since the controller doesn't feel like I'm holding a brick. I do miss the old PS2 controller though---and it seems to have more games that I like.
But I did buy a 360 for Gears of war. I never understood why people prefer the lopsided sticks.
I think you can do what everyone else does or your own thing. As long as you enjoy them. I don't really agree with the whole real gamers thing. Most of the time I love playing with noobs cause they like the game( I love helping people kill monsters on Monster hunter Tri and on Phantasy Star Portable 2)...those elitists online who tell you how to play and are obsessed with winning get really annoying...
a word of advice...
Have fun. Once the game seems like work you should probably stop. Especially if it interferes with your personal life..
...I lost a lot of friends to World of Warcraft...
Oh and
WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF ONLINE GAMING
Where everyone is racist and people will probably make you wanna rip out your ears with their stupidity and ignorance.

Only if you like paying 3,000+ just to have it outdated the next year.

I choose Xbox
-Ease of use, everything is organized and the options you would not use so often (HD TV Settings, Surround sound etc) were hidden away.

The PS3 lacked to much of a user friendly dashboard for me
-Only talk to one person at a time in private chat
-Friends list is difficult and Nested
-Friends often change names because it is free to do so
-Finding people that actually used Microphones was a rare occasion
-Also the PS3 Network got hacked and then my e-mail was compromised. (Accessed from 4 different states, they even targeted my youtube..)
I had gotten rid of my PS3 months before the attack on sony but my information was still in their systems.. I didn't think much of it after I reformated my ps3 and sold it.

I guess in summary you could say that when someone already familiar with Xbox's ease of use and then get a PS3 they will likely stick with what they know rather then try to build a whole nother friend network.

My wish for PS4 is this.
-Playstation Live (50.00 per year)
-Aftermarket Compatible Xbox style controller.
-Optional Dashboard ( Simple , and also Advanced for the more technical people)

Come on man look at him he's slow. hence the name "slowdude"
He didn't read the forum topic and said something barely on topic.
But yeah xbox is pretty user friendly.
but yeah I got an xbox first and switch more to PS3.
Microsoft pisses me off when I was playing phantasy star...
Yeah you gotta have Microsoft points to play this game...
Oh wait were gonna switch it back to charging you directly without telling you so all those microsoft points just became worthless...
....
lag switch and super shotgun...
Is it just me or does someone always start rapping whenever I play with my Mic on?

My PC cost me $800. It can play pretty much every game on it (Well I can once i buy a new video card which won't cost me too much, just to play games at the higher quality, i can still run 99% of games on at least low settings). Then you will go "playing on low settings means your computer is shit" no it isn't, my video card is. Once i can be bothered actually buying one my PC will be top notch and able to play all current games. Hell you could probably get a decent one for less, i just needed to get a computer when i bought mine and paid a bit extra as who gives a shit.

$3000 lol.

That's all well and good... of course 360's network is better, considering we have to pay for it. It has a lot more features. I'm just talking about the games themselves...

You must have bought your pc at walmart. The best graphics cards out cost around 400 which is half the price of your computer. So I don't see that as being cheap. My processor alone cost more then your entire pc lol. I don't think you can rep PC players when your pc doesn't even have a decent graphics card lol. Stop regurgitating what all the other High end pc players are saying. I have a high end custom built pc and decided on the xbox because there weren't any games taking advantage of the PC (except for crysis when it came out)

$800 lol.

If your talking about games it's really more personal preference...
Killzone 3 is a pretty sweet shooter for PS3. Something about really good Ai and shooting someone in the foot looks like they get shot in the foot is pretty cool. Then being able to gouge out someone's eyes with my own bare hands....Havoc physics really make the difference...
Plus when the AI starts thinking "hey he's shooting me. Ima hid behind cover and blindfire my weapon at him...and toss gernades" Then giant mech battles...
And using the move with the gun is pretty fun too. Just remember to turn off the vibration...it'll wear out your hands...
Oh wait you can play it in 3d too? That can't help dept perception yeah what does Xbox have to offer shooter wise? Halo right? Isn't that for kids? I remember halo being...stand at head level and wait till the cross hair turns red for a headshot.

Gears of war 2 was fun for a while. I got up to rank 800 in the world in wingman. It was pretty fun while it lasted..then people complained and stuff changed...
I was disappointing hearing that the Gears 3 game isn't gonna use Havoc physics...at least from the beta standpoint.
But as soon as gears 3 comes out I'll play it again.

I'll still never understand why people like call of duty so much. To me Unreal Tournament 3 is way more fun. Much faster paced and yeah...
And modern warfare...just reminded me of counter strike...not even as fun.
but yeah when someone randomly starts rapping I join the other teams party and start helping them out....

Whats a good game only on Xbox?
I think the main appeal to xbox is you don't need to buy games cause you can hack the system and make copies of games you get off gamefly and such...but I'm pretty sure you can do that with any system...
Plus red rings of death...yeah Xbox will never live that down...

I personally love the 360. It is very easy to use, I love the interactivity, and of course xbox live is the best. It does have some issues but it dominates over all. Plus I am a huge call of duty fan and it just isn't the same on ps3. Oh yeah I have also been with xbox since the start so when I go to the controller I like the ab buttons instead of the shapes I'm playing games not studying for a math test.

I honestly haven't been much of a console gamer, in general. I'm going through a few RPGs still left on my PS3, and probably a few more on my Wii, but I haven't bought a console game in a long time. I still prefer the PS3 to the 360, but only my a smidgen.

and there's your problem, you seem to only care about graphics. Who gives a shit about the graphics as long as the game play is smooth and the aesthetics are top notch.

You seemed to have missed the fact that my PROCESSOR costs more then your pc. Therefore your basis about me caring only about graphics is off base. By the way when trying to point out flaws in someones arguement you shouldn't contradict yourself outright like you did.
" Who gives a shit about the graphics as long as the game play is smooth and the "GRAPHICS" are top notch." Anyway get out of here. I don't banter with people that run in circles.
