Bullshit. You can get ass for free. It's all how you play the game. Did I just make a pun?

you still pay in the end, no matter what the cause is, games on the other hand are forever free as long as torrent have iso's, also that was a nice pun

You don't pay if you don't screw things up. Responsibility!

I agree that we have to define what a real gamer is. I'm looking at some of the things talked about and of course I see shooters mentioned, gears of war. Sorry guys I mean no offense but I don't consider people who play just shooters(or any other genre) to be real gamers. This comes from the Halo game. Brought a lot of people into gaming. You play games sure but aren't really a gamer. I play everything for various reasons. I have all the big AAA titles and lots of really dumb games like the Neopet Dark Fairy and Pacman Party. I RP and shoot and platform and race etc etc on PS, Xbox, wii, and even with online flash games. Just my opinion of course lol

I however have to go with my PS3. Of course I buy my COD or any other big name online game for the 360 and nothing beats the looks, sounds, and control of a PC. But, for this generation at least, my ps3 has been so much more fun exclusive wise. Not that it needs repeating but MGS, Uncharted, GOW, Fat Princess, Heavy Rain and the like are just too good and makes the PS3 easily win out imo.

Yup... everyone I know has a 360, and if anything the party chat option makes it an easy choice. I may get a ps3 in the future but for the moment there is nothing that makes me want one now.

luckily I have both so yay!

do prefer my PS3 over my 360, I own a 60 gb PS3 so I can play all my playstation games on one console, I see very little difference bewteen the two when it comes to online as recent studies show the the PS3 is equal or greater to in online usage(beat the 360 when it came to netflix usage) but I have to admit, I do like the 360 dashboard more than the PS3 XBM(though customizable backrounds are sweet)

Sony has done an amazing job with their first party titles this gen(and or IP owned title) like LBP, Uncharted, Infamous, Heavy Rain, Demon Souls, MNR, ect. they really bounced back from what many thought was the end of playstation.

PC - For RTS, First Person Shooter, and MMORPG, Racing Sports and Vehicle Simulations

Xbox Systems/PS Systems/Nintendo Systems - Fighting Games and RPG

For sporting games like tennis, soccer, boxing, and similar sports, I prefer to go out and do those sports instead of playing those sports in game consoles or PC.

The term "Real Gamer" is not restricted to Xbox360 and PS3 systems though

I generally prefer Xbox as a system and have had a lot of fun on the 360 but PS3 has been redeemed in my eyes. I hated the PS2 (maybe a bit unfairly) but PS3 is great. I think I still prefer xbox but mainly because of the pad and online. I also just generally prefer Xbox though since I got my PS3 I haven't played much Xbox (mainly because I bought a bunch of back catalogue games I missed for PS3. The only game I bought for 360 at that time was Orange box for 360). Haven't been playing much games in general though.

Real gamers? lol... Real gamers don't give a fuck and just play the w/e game tht is available to them...Anywho PC pretty much have mostly everything Xbox360 and PS3 got, so if ur game console sux then move on to the comp. lol... Buying PS3 would be a good investment becuz u r able to play it's exclusives (which i don't think is avail. for comp? idk), and on the other hand if u got a comp. then u can pretty much play anything tht comes out for the Xbox360

My PC cost me $800. It can play pretty much every game on it (Well I can once i buy a new video card which won't cost me too much, just to play games at the higher quality, i can still run 99% of games on at least low settings). Then you will go "playing on low settings means your computer is shit" no it isn't, my video card is. Once i can be bothered actually buying one my PC will be top notch and able to play all current games. Hell you could probably get a decent one for less, i just needed to get a computer when i bought mine and paid a bit extra as who gives a shit.

$3000 lol.

You must have bought your pc at walmart. The best graphics cards out cost around 400 which is half the price of your computer. So I don't see that as being cheap. My processor alone cost more then your entire pc lol. I don't think you can rep PC players when your pc doesn't even have a decent graphics card lol. Stop regurgitating what all the other High end pc players are saying. I have a high end custom built pc and decided on the xbox because there weren't any games taking advantage of the PC (except for crysis when it came out)

$800 lol.

You wasted your money big time if you spent more then $800 on a processor just for gaming . A good quad core can be had for only $120 and you can overclock to higher speeds quite easily but even at stock its more then enough for the latest games.

The best graphics cards do cost hundreds of dollars but those aren't needed unless your running a multi-monitor setup where you need a lot of gpu horsepower. You can run every game out there with decent frame rates at high settings at up to 1920x1080 resolution which the highest resolution 99% of people will run games at with $150 gpu's like the gtx 460 1gb. Never been cheaper to buy a decent gaming pc $600 will get you a great PC and even a $500 pc will run games far better then console can I can't believe people are still spouting this nonsense about $3000 PC with $500 graphic cards that become outdated every 6 months. while the initial investment might be more expensive then a console it makes up for it with how cheap the games are PC games start out cheaper, drop in price more quickly and reach lower prices then console games where $20 is considered cheap and very rarely does a full retail game drop below $15 for a new copy. There are sales constantly on Steam and other DD sites right now steam has a big summer sale going on GTA IV complete going for just $10 meanwhile its $30 on the consoles. Same thing with Batman AA one of the best games this gen now $7.50 on sale mean while a new copy goes for $28 + shipping on the console L4D2 $5 vs $27 and the list just goes on very rarely is a console version of a game cheaper then on the pc.

I purchased the Quad Core Extreme when the tech was new QX6850 it wasn't just for gaming. It was just for building a computer. My computer is hooked up to a 50", 65" , 63" in plasmas so I need the better graphics cards. Truth be told there isn't any reason to invest anymore in a pc because the games on xbox look the same as pc. Not only that but the next generation consoles are going to absolutely kill.

Truth be told there isn't any reason to invest anymore in a pc because the games on xbox look the same as pc. Not only that but the next generation consoles are going to absolutely kill.

Even at launch the QX6850 was overpriced and not a good buy and having your pc hooked up to 3 t.v's doesn't require a expensive graphics card unless your going to be playing on all 3 in a multi-monitor gaming setup. I have a 5770 1gb that can be bought for $100 connected to a 32" 1080p lcd in my room and a 60" 1080 DLP in the living room and games run and look great on both t.v's.

The graphics are also significantly better then what my games running on my ps3 look like on my t.v. Very few console games are 1080p most are 720p with a good chunk running at sub-hd resolutions tha fact that i can run my games at 1080p coupled with AA and AF filtering makes a big difference in the image quality of games even if everything else stays the same the ps3 version will look blurry and jaggy filled while said game on my pc provides a very sharp, crisp, and detailed full 1080p image and most games run at 30fps on consoles while i can get 60fps or higher on the pc providing a smoother looking game and more responsive controls especially important in FPS.

There's plenty of reason to invest in a pc besides the graphics the most compelling reason which is really why we get any new system in the first place is the games there are alot of games you can only play on the pc far more then buying another console will give you access to if you already own a 360/ps3 as they share most of there library. Here's an incomplete list of the exclusive games that have come out on the pc and scored a 7 or above on game spot since the launch of the 360.

I bought an Xbox 360during 2008 (I think) and invested crap load of money in it. Live + MS Points = You don't want to know..
But my Xbox 360 broke down so much times that I pretty much gave up.

The new dashboard really made it boring to turn on the Xbox, annoying Ads in the dashboard, the classic blade layout was still the best.
The New Halo made me disappointed and I'm not into Gears.. so the exclusives that are on Xbox 360 have nothing against PS3's exclusive now.

When I bought my PS3, (Just because I wanted to play Metal Gear Online) It was pretty much Love at first sight. You can do crap load of stuff with it. You can Edit videos, upload pictures to Picasa Web, You can Game Share with your friends ($$$ saver), online is free, Blu-Ray, PS Home is actually a nice distraction, Web browser for Youtube, Dynamic themes are really sexy, PSP minis, the exclusives such as Uncharted, Little Big Planet, Killzone, Resistance, and many more makes me want to smash my Xbox :vicx:.

I don't know but I guess I prefer the PS3 more than the 360 now.
360 has crap load of people, but they're usually little kids who screams in the mic most of the time.. <--- Halo 3 especially..
The 360's party chat is a killer feature too, but I have a feeling PS3 will also have party chat once PS Vita comes out because PS Vita has party chat support. Speculation of PS3 + PSVita cross-game chat support.
