ESPECIALLY after the enies lobby arc!
luffy with the gears, zoro with asura, nami with improved clima tact, usopp with his kabuto shooter, sanji's flame kicks, chopper's freakin' MONSTER point, and robin & franky......well let's just say that they've gained my respect as full members of the mugiwaras
if i really have to choose though....the late great going merry! without it, none of the strawhat's future paths would have been opened!
if merry in usopps village hadn't have offered a ship, by the time they would've found one; yosaku would have died from his scurvy, the baratie would have failed against kreig and that would mean sanji's death, and mihawk wouldn't have beaten zoro therefore not spurring him to improve himself (dragon twister and the lot)
the list could go on forever but luckily for you guys i'm pretty tired (it's 10:30pm here) so i'll wrap it up with the biggest points: vivi would've been killed by mr 5 and her country would've been taken over by crocodile, meaning robin would've never joined the crew, also, usopp would've never fought luffy, and since the money for fixing merry was what franky stole, they would've never met him either!
you see? it may be a bleedin' essay lol but you see the point don't you? merry was one of the best nakama!!! the strawhats should be more greatful to you than they already are! RIP!!!!
