a couple of questions:

1.) is this contest open for any country, of any nationality?

2.) do we get a confirmation message regarding our entries being received should we choose to send it via PM/email?

3.) pardon me if this question has been asked before, but i would like to know the exact mechanics of the prizes.

I have about 4 short stories I wrote and I want to post them, but how do I title it if there is more than one story? I know the format is supposed to be [date]- title of story -[username] so I don't want to lose my chance at a CR t-shirt because I titled the thing wrong. So, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Just to clear things up in case there is any confusion, I'm not asking for advice on what to call my stories, I'm asking how to title them for submission in the forum.

QUESTION :

a) I'm using a yahoo account for my username in Crunchy and I do have a Gmail account too. So, preferably, which email should I choose to send my story?

b) Fanfiction is okay, right? and if there are spoilers in the story, would it still be acceptable for the judges?

c) What do you mean by combining all of the short stories in one text (if I want to post many short stories in one go)? Does it apply something like chapters?
E.g :

Chapter 1 : The Omen - but its a different story for each chapter.

I wonder if you understand what I'm saying.

1. As long as the story is in English, you're welcome to post a story anytime, any day ^^

2. If you're afraid that the submission failed, then post it in this forum as a New Topic.

3. Prizes should be:
"2 Crunchyroll 1-month donation statuses (Donated by Jorlwind)
2 Crunchyroll T-shirts (Donated by Shinji)"

Though I'm not sure who's getting what atm..

I don't think the title is much of a big difference, just post you're first/main story's title. And within you're post, do a few enters, then post your next title and story.

a - The email provider doesn't make a difference.. As long as you have your CR Username provided you should be fine.

b - Fanfiction is fine, just provide a note at the top saying who owns the rights to the characters etc. Also, put up a "Warning: spoilers below to xxxxx-name of anime/manga/whatever - xxx, read at your own discretion "

c - If you have more than 1 story, put all the stories you want the judges to read in ONE mail/post in the forum. Just stick to the word limit. It wouldn't be called a "chapter" if the first story has no relevance to the previous one right? Just have that story's title and it should be fine..

It's better to submit just one story (you're best one) for it's easier for marking. Unless they both link together - like "the original" and "the sequel to original" and are within the 1.2 - 5k word limit.

Oh wait. Does every story posted here have to be an entry?
I never really wanted to go for the contest.

No, only those with the specific format or has CrMoWri in front of it will be judged.

Do we have to add the date and the username to the title as well? Cause I already sent my story to the onigiri email address with the title formatted like this --> "CRMoWri-[title]" is it not acceptable?

Anyhow my name's there at the end of the story, and also in the email.

To Below: Thanks Julia. Yeah, I have already mentioned in the subject of the email that it's for the CRMoWri contest. Then it's alright.

Whatever you send via email will be judged.

As long as it is recognizable that it is for CRMoWri, or formatted, or stated it is for the contest, then it is okay.

the FAQs say that should an entry be posted in the forum it will be locked.

can i include japanese terms? I will be sure to include this "__" when i write that

And do you care much about the format? Can i do something like this:

Main title

Character Bios:

Prologue:

Chapter 1:

On that day 10 years ago, the real starry sky disappeared and this fake sky took its place. Governments were afraid of the spread of information about heartless Contractors and soulless Dolls, so they use ME technology to delete the memories of anyone who comes into contact. The reason that Chiaki knows all this is because she worked at the laboratory for a long time.

Chiaki: Thanks for doing this,Li.
Li:You are welcomed.

Is it allowed?

Japanese terms: I would like to have a definition list perhaps (unless it's a really obvious word).

That format is good. Just focus more on the story rather than superficial details of layout.

And try not to make it into a drama script. Have "he said" etc etc.

one of the example for japanese term is bankai.I just thought of using script form so that it would be clearer, since i can leave space after a sentence

The more english, the better. But if you're writing fanfiction then some small terms must be allowed. Try to include a glossary. The more I struggle over stupid issues in your work, the less I'm probably going to like it : \
