I know Tokyopop had been discontinued, but that is the reason i'm doing this i would really like to start a petition to bring it back into America!!!!!!!!!! But Shoujo beat is also one of my Faves so please vote!!

well getting a petition probably wont work. They went out of business because due to the fact of online manga they have on sites like manga fox so why buy the book and wait like several months when u can go online and be ahead? :/ see what i mean

Correction- this is not why Tokyopop went out of business. This is known to be a factor in killing the sales of the mid-tier series- and putting some smaller publishers out of business. TP was actually profitable when they closed. However, Stuart Levy, TP's CEO, decided he just wanted to get out, citing that it was getting harder to compete for new licenses. More of the Japanese companies were starting to tie themselves to other publishers, so TP was just cut off from getting those titles. And with the... less than expected revenue of their own creations, they just pulled the plug.

Now, the poll itself. Both, and other. Tokyopop had their Blu line, which I loved. But Viz (who publishes Shoujo Beat) also has quite a few titles I enjoy reading. However, one shouldn't discount DMP and their slew of labels. Yen Press is also starting to make some nice headway...
