youwannaroll 2384 cr points Send Message: 38 / M / Canada Offline	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 2/14/12, edited 2/14/12 ok here you go. i saw an anime where a character has some kind of power control problem. basically he became a living nuclear bomb. and to end the short series, he blew up. show me any marvel or DC series where the main character actually sets off a mega-nuke, let alone being one himself. on top of that, tons of characters can use powers on a similar scale level. ie; half the folks in bleach at their peak levels. plus there are herds of Gods in various anime... compared to occasional gods in all the DC series. it's really just a silly and obvious answer to the question. edit: if anyone -recognizes- that series i mentioned at the top, can you tell me what it is? i want to see it again.

Apparently you have never heard of Captain Atom. The problem with playing the "show me" card with comics is that there have been so many different continuities or universes, that just about anything you would ask someone for has existed at some point. As to those "herds of gods" in anime, they are most often like Japanese deities; far from all-powerful. haikinka wrote: Problem is, what actually is Superman's name? It has been a while since I have seen Death Note, but I think there may have been an example of this. Of course if comic superheros existed in the same universe as the Death Note, the possessor of the Death Note would probably have more to worry about from Batman than Superman.

It has been a while since I have seen Death Note, but I think there may have been an example of this. the example was when a person gave his name as being the same as a famous actor so that whenever Kira tried to write the name, the actors' image would appear in his head instead. to me, this means that it is the name+ image that is significant, not just name or image alone. bah, we're a couple of sad otaku aren't we... debating the finer points of something you've forgotten and i've never even seen. hahaha. i'm going to have to watch it, before i carry on this argument any further. don't wait up for me, tho.. you might end up looking like your avatar before i actually get around to it :p
