Superheroes don't stand a chance against reality-benders like Haruhi and Guu.

You know you should really read some of the older here before you decided to post that...

I'm serious. There are a few DC/Marvel characters with god powers, or who are actually gods, but they still need to have some kind of underlying reality, some mechanism by which they can manipulate time and space, and it usually takes a few issues to explain all that, and then if they develop a new power they have to explain how it relates and how it came into being and then they ret-con all that onto the backstory, or they do a special spin-off. DC/Marvel powers are like shonen-anime powers. Guu on the other hand is a trickster god that rearranges time and space and even natural law into whatever is convenient or entertaining. She is Q-level or above.

I've only seen the first series of Haruhi, but my understanding is that she can also manipulate the fundamental laws of reality, maybe not as much as Guu, but she's more dangerous because she doesn't know she's doing it and it's all kind of happening based on her wishful thinking. If she became sufficiently neurotic it's possible she could unwittingly create an event which wipes out all time and space.

I feel like a broken record here, but once again go read some of the older post here.

I have no idea who Guu is or what anime is she from, but what you just describe is the female equivalent of Mister Mxyzptlk from the DC universe. He's not a God, but one hell of an trickster, he's even from the fifth-dimension universe (whatever the hell that place is suppose to be). He can practically perform any feat imaginable; reshape the fabric of reality at will (he can give you an extra pairs of balls if he wanted to), travel to parallel worlds, and/or even manipulate space-time continuum.

Hell the shit he's able to do isn't technically considered superpowers or magic, but fucking TECHNOLOGY from the fifth-dimension. If their universe have superpowers and magic, I honestly don't want to know.

Haruhi powerful, that's a laugh . There are already multiple posts here denying her being invincible. Remember in the fictional world, being a God/Goddess doesn't warrant one to be almighty. For example, more than half those New Gods from DC universe can easily be killed by Superman.

You have to consider the characters and their settings as well though

Character's like Haruhi may have incredible amounts of power but she is completely unaware of it.

Haruhi sits right next to something like the Beyonder when it comes to power, the difference however is that the Beyonder knows exactly what he is capable of while Haruhi dose not.

Light might have the ability to strike anyone dead with a pen stroke but he still has to follow within a specific set of rules and one of those rules is Knowing the Name of the person he wants to kill. Writing the word "Batman" in the Death Note dose absolutely nothing. Even if he made the deal for the eyes (which his personality refuses to do anyway) Batman conceals more than half his face with a mask including the eyes, and according to what Misa said, that would be enough to protect him.

I tried, but it's basically eight pages of you calling people ignorant, and I don't like you already.

Psh, I don't care if you don't like me and sugarcoating ain't my style (plus zombeh was more aggressive lol). I'm here for a discussion, nothing more.

The only reason I act like douche IS because of ignorant people. If they acted in neutral like manner in the first place, I wouldn't act in this tone, now would I?

Honestly instead of randomly throwing characters at each other I think it would be more interesting to think about what characters work well together

Things like Yomiko from Read or Die working with the Birds of Prey.
or Deadman teaming up with Ichigo from Bleach.

There are a lot of characters that would really interact well together. I mean it's all well and good to talk about Goku and Superman throwing down against each other but wouldn't it be cooler to imagine them teaming up against a Dragonball empowered Darkside or something.

or Ryoko from Tenchi teamed up with Wonder Woman against an army of Skrulls.

I somewhat mentioned that, but I'll agree with you. Rather than having characters face each, I think it'd be more interesting to have characters who seem equal in power to face off against each other. Everyone seems to have ignore my post regarding that though.

That's because it would go off topic. If you want to do something like that, go make a thread about it.

the problem is that it's a circular argument. For each character you bring up there is a stronger one waiting to be brought up by someone else. Eventually it all comes down to God vs. God and all powerful people making boulders that they can't lift.

I don't think it would really go that far off topic. This topic is about whether DC/Marvel/Anime characters are stronger - Pitting characters who are close/similar in strength would expand the topic. From my readings, I understand that there are very powerful characters in DC/Marvel, but I believe it would help this topic if there are characters who close in strength are pit against each other. I mean, the previous pages are basically full of "MARVEL/DC HAS ULTRA POWERFUL PEOPLE, ANIME LOOSES HARHAR." My recommendation would be more constructive, imo.

I would make a thread but "vs" threads are already against the rule, and I little to no knowledge on DC/Marvel comics.
