Ipad for Otakus
Posted 6/18/11
So I recently had my high school graduation, and my grandma is so happy with me being the first to do so that she getting me an Ipad, and that's all fine and dandy but, as an otaku, can I really get much use from it? I know there's the CR app and some other stuff, but I need to know some ways to otaku-fy it, apps and stuff. Suggestions?

I think there are some manga apps for it too, as well as Netflix and maybe Hulu or something.

Just think of it as a fun mini-laptop.
There are great music applications (like the piano and guitar) available and fun games.

Well...there are couple of anime and manga apps for the iPad. Just search it on the App Store. The iPad is a pretty great device if you know how to make good use of it. Think the iPad as a netbook from Apple.

What would otaku do without the Love Plus iPod/iPad app!? It's their only way for them to get a shot of themselves actually dating someone!

There are also a couple games out by SquareEnix for the iPod/iPad - but yeah, to his and her their own.

And lastly, an iPod/iPad version of the popular vocaloid software by Yamaha, iVocaloid has been released: http://www.vocaloid.com/iVOCALOID.html

Enjoy.

are we forgetting the crunchy roll app? also as been stated many manga readers and so fourth. not to mention many games are being released all the time including old classics like final fantasy and other games by the big named publishers. If you have to ask what an ipad would do for an otaku then you really don't have much imagination.
