I've just re-watched Gundam 00, and I need something new... anything great out there? I don't want mecha + echi or mecha + yuri... just kick-ass mecha.

This should be posted in the Anime Help Thread. It's stickied at the top of the Anime Forum.
But to answer your question, try Gurren Lagann. Most kick-ass thing you'll ever see in your life.
There's also Super Robot Wars: The Inspector, Full-Metal Panic if you want some school life and comedy as well, Kurogane no Linebarrel and heaps others. I guess you could try Gundam Unicorn as well.

Tengen Toppa, definitely. other then 1 episode, there aren't any things along the lines of panty-shots. Other than that one episode and the episode before (the style changed because of guest director), it was the most epic mecha anime I've ever seen.

Along the same lines as that is Kurogane no Linebarrel, the spiritual predecessor of Tengen Toppa.

And you can't forget Evangelion, although it gets mindscrew at the end.

If you're looking for something more pyscological, there's Code Geass. It doesn't really leave that much of an impression, in the Mecha section, although there are some good parts.

Super Robot wars and Full metal were pretty good as well.

There is no great mecha. It is all the most depraved of fanboy paraphernalia next to moe.

If you don't like mecha with Ecchi-moe elements then you should stick with old school related anime.

For starters, I would definitely recommend you to watch Mobile Suit Gundam MS IGLOO. Nameless soldiers are not just there to die, they are there to make a story.

I think Linebarrel would come too close to the "mecha + ecchi" the OP stated was not desired.

Yes, I can see that. My bad. but it's still a petty good mecha anime.

No argument there. Personally I don't think the ecchi was overbearing, but I suspect the OP is more sensitive to it.

While TTGL isn't devoid of ecchi either, what is there is smothered in awesome sauce.

My main recommendation is Code Geass (mild fan service). I've also heard good things about Heroman and Eureka Seven.
