I doubt it cause Ohana knows how she feels about Ko now. So either she'll end up seeing him again either when she goes & visits her mom OR he'll come see her.

That was a very final goodbye. The whole point of that story arc was to show Ohana letting go of the last thing connecting her to Tokyo; it was a painful realization, but being a student and working at the Kissuiso requires full dedication, and trying to depend on Ko without being able to do anything in return was unfair.

Even if Ohana were to move back to Tokyo at the end of the series, Ko has moved on; he has his own job, his own friends, his own romantic interests, as we saw. Both characters realize this; it's one of those growing-up moments when you realize that a potentially great relationship simply can't work because life gets in the way. It's these moments that make the show for me.

Great analysis, Farvana[/blue]I couldn't have said it better myself! :-)

I totally agree with you on that note. Those are the kind of things that happen in everyday life. As sad as the sene was, it remain with hope though. Ko and Ohana have defenetly moved on; but if they do have something for eachother life will bring them together later on. This had to happen so Ko wouldnt have to suffer while waiting for Ohana to make a decision. Now she has time to figure things out for herself, without feeling pressure.

Love this anime! I wonder if there are any more like it around?

This is kind of what I was thinking at first, but lately I'm not so sure. Maybe at the time he said that to her he was trying to convince himself of this but in reality he wasn't truly over her. Kind of like one of those wishes that linger in your mind sometimes even years later despite how your logical side keeps telling you it really can't work out. I think Ohana's mom saw that and tried to make Ko admit it to himself. And in Episode 24 Ko did admit it when he mentioned how without Ohana there in Tokyo with him, everything there did look kind of boring there just like Ohana had said.

At this point it really does look like they'll end up together in the end, but I've been surprised by shows like this before. Makes shows like this so much fun to look forward to.
