I don't usually post on forums, but I just gotta get this out of my system

I know it was out for quite a while, but I just got around to watching The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, and I've gotta say, i was very impressed and pleased with the way it turned out. Not only was the detail amazing as usual, but the suspense had me on the edge of my seat, leaving me guessing how it was going to turn out....

The ending was also quite satisfactory, though I wished there was more to be honest, but it's a good thing because it gives me hope of more Haruhi to come in the future...haha, I'm allowed to be hopeful right? lol,

Anyway, I was also impressed by the emotions portrayed in the movie. The emotion you get from Kyon when he realizes Haruhi is missing, everything he knew has changed, and gets desperate for answers yet realizes there's not a whole lot of options left for him, just grabs you at the heart...It's like an emotional roller coaster ride...sorta, idk it's my opinion anyway :p

I don't know if you'd guys (who watched the second season) agree with me, after I watching the second season, I was sorely disappointed. As great of a season it would have been, I felt like I got Jipped or ripped off with the Endless Eight eps(I'm an Endless Eight Survivor...or victim :d). But after watching the Movie, I felt like I got my precious time reimbursed...anyone else agree?...lol I know I'm weird

well it's been fun, hopefully I'll get used to this forums thingy...that's if I'm accepted into the community :p

Laterz

You pretty much hit the nail on the head, brother. The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya was an excellent film. As you stated, there was an exceptional amount of detail, which wasn't unexpected. Just one thing that I would like to say...

I, too, watched the entire Endless Eight. And I enjoyed it. It was good because of the intricate detail added throughout each episode. I feel that the creators/animators had the confidence to "repeat" one episode with different detail because little details caused the success of the first season. Still, with that being said, I completely agree that the movie triumphs over the second season by blending amazing detail with an amazing plot.

Just some thoughts. Enjoy your time in the forums!

I thought the exact same thing

It was surprisingly very emotional for me, and some how was entertaining the entire 2 hour and 40 minute run time

I'm a huge Yuki fan though, so I was very very glad to see her get such a spotlight in this film

I agree, Seeing how there was quite a focus around Yuki was quite a treat. Whether she is in her fragile, shy, emotional state, or her awesome emotionless super alien form, one thing is certain, Yuki Nagato is just so awesome and cute all around.
