If this is passed, then someone, somehow, will develope another form of the internet, solely for the purpose of "entertainment" values, such as CR or YT, and the internet as it is now, will slowly become obsolete.
However, if this comes into law, the internet as it will exist will become the hackers' paradise. A zillion times more than what is going on NOW will start happening...and I think the "law" and those who pass it, will deserve every little bug they get in their systems.

I don't know if you realised but Crunchyroll license the anime they broadcast. That means they have the copyright holders consent.

ITT: People who don't have a clue about law talk about law.

As you are reading this post you realise that OP said "[...]if this pill is passed [...]".

I don't think it'll get passed, there was a similar bill but it got voted down despite giving more power to the government when it comes to blacklisting websites.

The "Anti-Piracy" bill that is.

If you wan to read why it got turned down.

Antipiracy legislation that would dramatically increase the government’s legal power to disrupt and shutter websites “dedicated to infringing activities” cleared a major legislative hurdle Thursday.

I'm quite certain that CR doesn't illegally upload copyright material anymore.

One, Crunchyroll is legal. It can't be compromised by this bill. Also, stop creating such hyperbole reactions. It hasn't been passed before, it won't. Trust me on this.

Also, this bill is useless. They should make a bill about fast food instead. People just love to bitch and whine, that's it.

Well if the company doesn't give the right to these tv shows it would be shut down. Basically its not for video games but as written it means any website thats uses any form of TV on the internet once this law is passed is considered a felony because it drops thr sales of the show. Providing it passes because people can watch it online and skip the commercial's and the people get paid but i don't know if crunchyroll has permission for all these shows.

It won't pass. Even if by some miracle, or nightmare, it did the courts would just squash it.

why cr is legal it will limit what we are able to talk about in the forums, we will not be able to mention unlicensed visual novels, anime or other series due in part that is in the bill, yeah i don't see it passing either due in part of how much uproar it would cause by limiting free speech/trade of information. I don't really agree with fast food bill either, let people kill them selves by eating that shit " I do lol "but this is off topic.

just so you are aware CR is a legal streaming site that does not upload any content without permission from the copyright holders. that is why people use and pay to use crunchyroll. you do realize there is a difference right? CR is one of the very few legal streaming sites out there.

i honestly wouldn't care if that bill passed since i only use sites like CR, ANN, VIZ, Hulu, Netflix,TheAnimeNetwork, etc... to stream shows "Legally"! however that bill would likely be hard to enforce and is likely just some politicians way to get votes!

Nice try at being smart. why don't you learn a little more about the law, government, and copyrights before you post crap like this!

also about the fast food bill. It is stupid if someone wants to eat fast food let them? I'm pretty sure that goes against "...liberty and the pursuit of happiness" and please if you don't know what I'm quoting pick up a god damn history book!
