Yes, I would make it loyal but not domesticated. Barring that I'd create Horo, although I have no interest in genetic engineering.

FYI wolves can't be tamed, kind of like a lion. They're wild animals.
But if I had awesome superpowers which made all wolves my slaves then yes I would own a few and use a sleigh as my means of transportation everywhere... even when there's no snow. People would call me "the wolf empress"

I prefer keeping wild animals in the wild.

Why the hell would I keep a wolf? Bad enough that I'm scared of dogs.

I do own a wolf. Actually I don't own a wolf, my grandfather owns one, but I live right next to him on the same piece of land and she follows me everywhere. So I own a wolf.

They're actually impossible to train so you could own one but it wont be like a dog, thats why in movies they have to cross breed them with their closest relative of all the dog breeds the Alaskan Malamute. Which I own He's big, cute and fluffy and very loyal ^_^ his name is Nanuk. My friends think he's a wolf but he's not, he's just a close cousin of one haha. Huskies are also cool, but Malamutes are bigger.

I am very much aware of the fact that you can't tame their inner wild animal but they can be lessened. Comparing it to medicine, the disease can't be cured but can be regulated/lessened.

While the word "dog" often refers to the domesticated, if you want to be technical, it can also refer to wild dogs.

BTW, an interesting thing on the words "dog" and "hound": dog is the generic word for them but hounds are the specific tracking breed. In their original English meanings, it was switched. Why this happened is beyond me.

My first dog was a Husky Wolf mix. Very beautiful and very friendly. His name was Wolf cause he looked more like that than is husky half.
