Girls why do we want guys to understand us as if they were girls and guys the other way around?

I'm quite romantic, and I can be over-protective. The thing that turns most girls off though is I kind of dislike being touched.

What I think what girls want most is security. Either emotionally or financially. Or both. You feel like all the other girls, and you want someone that's there that'll tell you otherwise. How special you are, and how unique you stand out. It gives a sense of superiority, or some sort of closure. I don't know, just my two cents.

Wow...I'll be your boyfriend. You don't like being touched? Our relationship will flourish.

yes saying girls are the only ones who react romantically is a tad insulting as im a romantic who will bring flowers to cheer up a girls day and have turned down every past offer to have sex...so your stereotypes are quite unfair, besides, everyone wishes to be understood

The premise that this thread is based upon is entirely wrong. Just because you, the op, happen to think that everything is a certain way doesn't mean that is how things are in actuality. In actuality all people think whatever they want to think and gender really doesn't play as much of a role in it as you believe. Gender does play a slight role, since different hormones are produced in differing amounts because of gender and these cause reactions. The experiences that a person goes through (learning) lead to different schema's through which one can interact with and understand the surrounding world. The person develops a personality by understanding and interacting with the world and the experiences that they undergo.

Just be yourself, and look for someone attractive who shares interests with you. If you don't want someone who is always after sex, then make that clear; if you don't want someone who is overly romantic, then make that clear....etc etc...

TL;DR: Each person is not everyone else. Be yourself. Start thinking before making ridiculous threads that are full of teenage girl hormones, popular kid obligation feelings, and hypocritical stereotypes. Don't you think that's "gay"؟

the fact is, in general, boys want it faster, physically speaking...no small talk with boys, just get to the point. And with girls it's just more feeling...much more talk ( that's what I hate about girls!).but that's a general thing and everyone has his own personality.

...you know what, nothing/no one is perfect. so be yourself, and as we say in our country, even the ugliest thing could find what suits it best.

I find it stupid. Its about understanding eachother not understanding the entire male population and vice versa. Everyone has a different personality, even if you did have the power to understand men/women everyone is different so you'll still fail. Trick is to stop trying so hard and get a life.

in a selfish perspective......when u only think about how u feel ,assuming the other gender should feel equally in every way.....no matter what your going though remember that u need to stop and process her/his feelings in a different way all the time.....u dont treat a lady like a dude and viscera.......

Im confused by what your asking! xD Other than that i see your in lb ~raises fist in the air~ Mmmm im in LB too x3 ahaha <l-- random? weird? stalkerish?

yeah for example when girls want their bf to be overly-sensitive to their emotions or the guys what their gf to be horny all the time u're probably just to young to care about dramas LUCKY

I feel somewhat hurt by the statement "guys want their gf to be horny all the time" I'm a hopeless romantic, and any girl I date tells me that. Truth is, most girls don't like those romantically cliched guys, even though they always look for one

Well its not meant to be a deep question.....of course im talking in a stereotypical way......it was just an example to try and mark a difference between guys and girls whats called "generalizing "
