Why do you hate the United Kingdom so bad? XD
Or.. Why do i pay the same as everyone else for a sub-class service?
You know, fine, don't license any new anime for the UK, but give us a cheaper subscription.
Or.. hey, you could licence anime for the UK and charge more.. i would also be quite happy with this.
AT THE VERY LEAST, you should offer an alternative to watch these shows legally in any country that you can't do it thru CR.

I'm amazed by the people that still don't get it. Crunchyroll tries to get worldwide licensing on everything they pick up. If it's restricted from a region it's not because CR said so, but because the publishers refused to give them the license for that region. Either someone else in that region already has it and has an exclusive on it, or that publisher doesn't like that region for some reason. Crunchyroll is not hating on you because you're not in the US. Place the blame where it belongs (with the publishers).

true, i dont blame crunchyroll for studio/licensors stupid decisions
and studios blame pirates for their bad sales, when the pirates cant even watch it legally as its not available due to studios stupid licenses

1. Customer wants to watch a show (on Crunchyroll)
2. Customer gets "this video is not available in your region due to licensing restrictions"
3. Customer pirates it instead (no other legal way to watch)
4. Studio sues pirate

Anyone see the logic of this?, i sure dont

@Crunchyroll staff
can you guys add a "sign a petition" on shows that has "this video is not available in your region due to licensing restrictions"
so people can sign the petition to "prey" to get the show and let crunchyroll show how many that wants it to the licenseholder/studio prefered on a long paper roll

A lot of these seasons titles look great but in my opinion - without pointing blame at anyone - the lack of regional support outside of the US is going to be to the detriment of everyone involved as it pushes people to unlicensed fansubs.
The only constructive suggestions I can come up with is to either lower subscriptions for countries that are being left out so that they can support and improve more local outlets such as AoD. OR (my favourite) make www.crunchyroll.co.uk. and any other national domain name where demand is high enough. Its a stupidly complex way of doing things that seems to reflect the legislation quite nicely.

That wouldn't really solve the problem, though. CR would still have to outbid companies like AoD for regional licenses.

Perhaps you're right, I was following a tenuous link from a comment made earlier:

olandril wrote:AoD probably gets preference over Crunchyroll for licensing due to the fact that it is run by Kaze which is a European anime DVD company.

I don't really have a way of scaling Crunchyroll's buying power though I'm guessing its no where near that of this Kaze company. Yet they have exploited a gap in the European market that perhaps CR could too with its higher experience and quality of service.

Watched first two episodes of Dantalian. Going to continue watching it. It 'feels' exceptional, hopefully it won't disappoint.
