Hell a cousin marriage ending with dakiachi and his cousin that had the littler girl would have been more acceptable then this.. but you don't marry a child you raise for 12 years of your life..I just don't see it and I am one of the biggest pervs on this site

If you find the ending objectionable, then that a single mangaka might create a story like this might not be as surprising as the fact that the manga is rather popular with female readers in Japan. I read somewhere that their enjoyment of the manga series is why Yumi and Ami wanted to sing the OP so much. So I have to think it's a Japanese thing somehow.

personally i want to, but i am not in the mood to talk to an autistic woman that did something because she wanted to piss off her readers. Nearly none of the fans in japan liked ending and it's the same here.

I'm going to pretend I didn't just read a dozen comments about incest, and say that I have NOT read the manga and I am IN LOVE with the first season of the Anime. It's very heart warming and realistic. I hope they continue it, otherwise I'm going to be very disappointed.

So, as far as the anime goes: did it finish at just 11 episodes, or are there really 12?

Regarding the manga version, and ending: yeah, pretty strange, but, I think the Unita-san wove the story in such a way that it made sense and kept it from being something perverted. I mean, face it, their whole relationship/situation was decidedly not the norm.

Just from the simulcast it seems it was 11 plus the preview making it a count of 12 but episodewise it was only 11. Seems anime series come in either 11 or 13 for a series that short but not 12.. dunno why.

It is traditional for noitaminA series to be 11 or 22 episodes.

Doing search and ran into this:
http://vicmackey.trakt.tv/calendar/shows/2011/10/24

Usagi Drop
Special 1 Aquarium of Leaves (Episode 2.5)
9:45 pm on Fuji TV

Is CR getting this? I thought this was only on Bluray?

Unless it was included in the original contract negotiated for the simulcast of the series, unlikely. There are only two instances (Soranowoto & Durarara) I can recall of CR obtaining special episodes, and those arrangements were apparently made early.

The cost of negotiating and obtaining a contract for a single episode would probably be prohibitive.

hmm well i don't know there are already lotte's toy ova's and dead man wonderland out so it's up in the air, i think it depends on how long the special is, i am not going to say it's not impossible just very low in chances. I also hope usagi drop comes state side but in bluray format, that animation is to gorgeous to cut down.
