I'm cautiously optimistic about Season 2.. I wasn't much of a fan of the time jump.. so I'll reserve judgment until the 2nd season comes out (if there is one). I'm hoping they take liberties with the content if Season 2 comes out... If there isn't one I'm still happy with Season 1 and plan on getting it if it's ever licensed.

Has anyone heard anything about a season 2 at all? Only asking because there's at least a rumor of Chihayafuru continuing next year.. while we've heard nothing on Usagi Drop.. at least I don't think so

If you love the season those are cute little episodes that fit perfectly with Season 1. Ye, I even noticed that you have the avatar for the series from episode 2. Hmm, I might skip those as not a fan of short episodes/OVA but enjoying the pace of the overall series so far |

I just mentioned it since it's out there. TBH it's meant to be filler between episodes and fit perfectly within the world as it's created in the anime. Either way enjoy the series! If you liked already the first couple then it gets better from there. |

Raising a kid for a single parent isn't easy and those who faces such a task would know it personally. Tbh, it's probably one of the hardest task anyone may face in their life. And after watching this series, my thoughts are:
Definitely a heart-warming anime from last year and something of an unique gem. I wouldn't exact call it a masterpiece tbh but it's definitely something unique is one of those rare titles that doesn't follow into the typical cliche of sexual, gore, or violence content category. The plot is mature and although somewhat slow paced, I enjoyed it overall. The music is also smooth and the melody is pleasant to the ears. As for the characters, I thought that they were very well performed especially Daikichi who faces the obstacles with Rin in his life together. The only problem I had with the show might be the somewhat ambiguous ending. Overall, I thought this series is definitely something to give some thought into as its brings realism to its purest form. Overall, I liked this series and give it a 8/10. |

Cool
I know just reading the scantilations that the end of the anime and the timeline with Rin at that particular age are the same. Season 2 (if there is any) would have a time jump of about 10 years.. and then it becomes a different story altogether. For what it was, a 12 episode series I thought it was done well. Some parts of the anime I found better than the manga and even the parts they added (like the mini stories) fit right in with the mood of the series. What kills Usagi Drop for those who were curious about the manga is it's ending... but that said, the story as presented in the 12 episodes here were good all by itself. Glad you enjoyed it! I know a lot of us did even if the story ended here. |

I'm interested in the manga although I'm reading Cage of Eden right now so will get to it sometimes in the future. |

Just finished the last episode tonight, such a breath of fresh air to watch a anime that is so real to life and not about some other worldly stuff. I do hope they make a second season too. It ended to suddenly for me. I know the manga does go farther and has a ten year jump after this. Ive also heard the end to the manga is terrible, if they make another season I hope they change that if its the case.

A very heart warming anime with a plot that stands out. It's art style and characters are just adorable and the slice of life aspect of it well, brings it to life.
