No. 6 Available on CR for those in the U.S. and Canada.
![]() No.6 Wikipedia's Plot Summary The story takes place in an ideal city known as the "Holy City". Shion, a boy raised in the elite and privileged environment of his home, gives shelter to another boy, who only gives his name as 'Nezumi', during the former's 12th birthday. After spending a rainy night with his new friend, Shion discovers the next morning that Nezumi has left and disappeared without a trace. 4 years later, Shion experiences a spate of incidents around him in which a deadly infection by parasitic bees leaves its victims to age rapidly. Not willing to be confined inside an adjustment facility for the rest of his life, he decides to run away from the city, and to the slum-filled West Block, where he meets Nezumi once again Opening Theme: "Spell" by Lama Ending Theme: "Rokutousei no Yoru" by Aimer Episodes: 11 Episode 1: No. 6 is beautifully animated by the studio BONES. the amount detail is just very nice to look at and amazing . The first doesn't give out much information on the characters but reveals two major characters - A boy who goes by the name "Mouse" (Nezumi) who is being seek by the Ministry of Peace and an excelling student, Shion. There isn't much to say about the series besides the fact that it is very nice to look at and leaves you craving for more. With the little information given off by Mouse, one can piece together that the city or section, No. 6, feels like a "dystopia". There appears to be more behind the scenes than the elites know of. As Zac mentioned in his review, No. 6's society appears have a caste system. This little information leaves you craving for the next episode or at least a little more about the setting. Updates: 8:26 P.M. EST Updated the legality of No. 6 |

Just finished.
I don't know what I think about it yet - that would be a bit difficult considering it's the first episode. However, I will say that it wasn't what I expected. I expected more of an action-paced anime, but maybe that will come later. This being said, I didn't think it was bad, per say, just not what I was hoping for. I'll see the series through. |

HAHAHA. Holy crap. Hey Crunchyroll, how ya doin'?

The animation was as good as I expected. I like my sci-fi to be slow and brooding too. You can only assume it will pick up at some point. It might not be totally yaoi but I'm getting the urge to label it a sci-fi Nabari no Ou.

Hmmm.. pretty good episode. This shows hints of boy's love and I'm not really sure if I can stand it. But whatever, I just hope I'll get a great story..

Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful?

Hmm, none of the blurbs I've seen mention bl as part of the story. Either way it still looks interesting. Yet another series to add to my watchlist.

I can smell a doujin called No. 69 coming. I'll be right back, I'll go write descriptive visuals of the tender moment in which the boys hold hands and Shion feels Nezumi's forehead for his temperature. Oh yeah, I can imagine the scene as they... Engage... In activities... On the table... |

Not really getting the boy's love thing people are talking about. They're 12 years old, seemed innocent enough to me. Episode 2 seems to leap forward 4 years so if they still act like that at 16 there might be a reason to question it then.
Anyway, thought the first episode was great. The city looked amazing. Best new show of the season, in my opinion. |

I finally made time for Episode 3. I just wanted to note that Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide the government's base looks like a beehive. It's corresponding with the pupas residing in the characters who had the pupa matured within them quickly. Judging from Sion's hair and eyes, it seems likely he turned albino this episode. It's also interesting to know more about Nezumi/Rat as he is cynical and pities (?) the people within No. 6. Seems like he doesn't believe they can be saved. Sion is also a bit stubborn which I sort of dislike, he continues to choose to protect No. 6, maybe for the purpose of protecting the citizens, but after what happened, I'd expect him to not have that path of thinking. Just wondering, to the light novel readers, are the other districts similar to No. 6 in terms of politics, living conditions, etc.? |
