Things are picking up...

I'll post later to avoid spoiling for anyone who hasn't watched yet but I will say this:

I really wish this wasn't a part of the Blood franchise. Maybe I could've enjoyed it a bit more instead of dropping it.

I'm just really disappointed with Saya's character (a klutz even though she's althletic, the crappy singing, annoying hair and the glasses don't suit her are a few things which irk me) and the way the story's been going so far. Already about half way through the series and much hasn't happened D; Its like they increased the shoujo-ness or something lol
I think I'll wait until Blood C ends and read a review to see if it gets any better.

At this rate, she's gonna be the only one left in the village.

That delicious Mami #2 scene at the beginning! Though I'm kind of surprised that nobody even bothered to notice the sword she was holding at school heh. Certainly looking forward to the next episode!

I have to wonder how many people that saw MSMM experienced a feeling of deja vu while watching the early part of episode 6.

I appears the empty village was just to save on animation costs, as I noticed as soon as the plot needed warm bodies, the sidewalks suddenly were populated. I hate when something that appears to be a plot point turns out to be due to budget limitations or outright error.

Surprisingly, not I. I mean yeah

I must agree with that last point. the quiet barren village was much more interesting when it was presumed to be so for the plot. I also didn't get the censorship. couldn't they have found a way to imply death without this 'oh it's graphic so we whited out half the screen' bs?

That's pretty much my reaction to the series. it would be okay as a stand alone but it's like ... the George Clooney Batman. Nearly killed the franchise

Damn! Episode 6 was pretty violent....and magical. After persevering through the first 5 "so-so" episodes, it looks like the pay-off has finally come in the second act of the series. NOW I'm looking forward to seeing how it will end!

The reason I like this show is basically because it's so shocking and bloodly and makes me want to say "OH F-----!" quite often when I watch. The characters are boring? So what? Just have some hellish fiend rip them to shreds one by one in a horrible blood bath. That's entertainment. Good stories aren't the only form of entertainment. I just love to way it so obvious to the viewer that something really messed up is going on and some horrible slaughter is definitely about to take place but these people just go about their daily lives like every thing is absolutely fine and dandy and they never see it coming when it happens. I think it's great. The show has a very "Stephen Kingish" feel to it.

And here I thought it was going to be a show only related to Blood.

I wouldn't say its related to xxxholic yet. More evidence is needed to support that it is a crossover and not just the same concept being used in an unrelated story. The enemy in episode 7 was awesome though as he somewhat reminded me of Gilgamesh from FF.
