Hentai

Oh you want a serious answer? I guess I prefer styles with more mature and somewhat realistic look (e.g., Berserk, City Hunter, Gantz, GTO).

Fma:Brotherhood, Soul Eater, or maybe Clannad. Naruto has some good animation but most of the time it sucks and sometimes it looks weird and unnecessary(Naruto vs. Pein -_-) Death Note has some good animation too.

Omg, yes. It is. Freaking. Amazing. It's by far the smoothest animation I've seen, ever. I've compared it to other high quality animes, like Lost Universe and Urda, but nope Gundoh is definitely the best.

Depends on what you mean by animation... If you mean Art (which is very subjective), I would have to go with any of Koji Morimoto's works, commercials, music videos, and animated shorts mostly. And Dimension Bomb, which has the best art I've ever seen in an anime.

As far as straight fluidity in animation, you can't really get better than 1950's Toei, where they painstakingly animated every frame without common tricks that are used today. An example of this is Panda and the Magic Serpent. It wasn't flashy, but dang was it smooth.

As animation became popular though, producers and animators were pressured to cut costs and find shortcuts, and animation quality sort of took a little dive (a big one for TV animation). In the 1980's though, there were a few animators who could do some impeccable work, even on pretty low budgets. Takashi Nakamura, Koji Morimoto, Yoshinari Kanada, and Ichiro Itano were such animators, I don't know if the four of them ever worked together, but the first three teamed up quite a bit, and did a lot of influential animation on projects including Harmageddon, Neo Tokyo, and Akira. Nakamura and Morimoto were the chief animators on Akira. And Kanada and Itano really pushed the boundaries on effects animation to the next level in most of their projects.

Currently though, there are fairly few examples of anime that tries to strive for fluidity of motion, though a few animators are out there do an impeccable job with what they have. Shinya Ohira, Yutaka Nakamura, Takeshi Koike, Michio Mihara, Mitsuo Iso, You Yoshinari, Sushio, and Ryousuke Sawa are the names that often come to my mind when I think great animation, and many of the projects they work on are impeccably animated. Examples would be most of the works of Ghibli and Studio 4°C, Redline, Dennou Coil, FLCL, Steamboy, Birdy the Mighty Decode, and a few others.

Angel Beats!, while lacking in other qualities I'd deem useful (aka: personal enjoyment), is well animated. Wandering Son's watercolor theme was nice, too.
