"Simple. A cold and damp one. That is why it hates sunlight or any forms of heat such as a fire. A wizard can summon fire to escape from the snare's grasps

"Most students at this school would instantly die if they were caught in devil's snare... while you probably be the only survivor"

She smiled

"A lot of students don't even bother to read the textbook at all... so how about another question? What is aconite used for?"

Wells hadn't taught anybody what aconite was yet so she decided to test Lucy's knowledge

"There are over 250 species of Aconitum, the most common of which are known as aconite, monkshood, or wolfsbane. Aconite is a plant with magical proprieties. Once wide-spread, this plant is now only found in wild places. Its flowers are useful in potion-making, but its leaves are very toxic. Aconite is most commonly known as an ingredient of Wolfsbane Potion"

She said after memorizing it in the book by heart

It is used to relieve lyncantrophy or when a person turns into a werewolf every full moon. A werewolf loses their consciousness and will even attack their own parents if they come across them. However the potion allows that werewolf to keep control of itself"

"Let's see you answered 4 questions correctly so that will be 20 total points awarded to Gryffindor!"

Wells smiled brightly

"Too bad there isn't much we can do today with an empty class..."

Christine Wells was tending to some of the plants, she was hoping some students would show up for today's lesson
