"Oh, okay." Lacie said. "See you." And she gathered up her books.

"Aww, too bad." Nicholas sighed. He too, grabbed his books.

Niels was planning out his lesson plans for next month when a snowy owl flew through the classroom's open window and landed on his desk. The owl dropped off an envelope and something from its beak, then flew out the window again. Niels stared at the owl, then picked up the envelope, opened it, and got out the letter. It was from his family back home. The letter read:

Dear Niels,
It's been two weeks since you and Amelia left for Hogwarts. Classes must have already started, and I'm guessing that you're becoming busy with preparing your classes. Don't overwork yourself, dear.
Stephen and Eli miss you and Amelia dearly. How is Amelia? I've noticed that she's been looking down lately. It is her last year, after all. Please watch over her for me.
I'll make this letter short. I'll see your during the holidays. The time I get to see you seems so far away...

Love From Your Wife,
Willowmina

Something about this letter seemed very odd to the muggle studies teacher. Niels had to read it twice, then a third time more slowly. It was only until then did he realize what seemed wrong: He hasn't seen Amelia at all, not even in the halls, since the time they went their separate ways. Niels picked up the other thing the owl had dropped, a twig from a tree that could only be found in the Forbidden Forest around here.
"Ditching classes and playing hooky in the Forbidden Forest?" Niels assumed. "No child of mine would get away with that," he said severely, getting up from his seat and heading off.

"Into my classroom now," Niels unlocked the door and opened it. He lead the group of students inside, then locked the door. Niels went over and sat behind his desk, gesturing for the students to sit on the desks across of the teacher's desk. "I want an explanation, and leave the lies out," he demanded.

Alec walked in and sat on a random desk. He tilted his chair backwards and put his feet up on the desk, clearly not caring. Alec shrugged.

Louise walked in and sat at the seat farthest from the teacher. Truth be told, he scared her.

Niels inhaled deeply then let it all out with a sigh. "Amelia, you may tell your side of the story first." He played with a stress ball.
Amelia sat across from Niels, knowing she didn't have the freedom to sit anywhere else. She was caught off guard when Niels wanted her part of the story first.
"Well, I was out during my lunch break...taking a walk near the Forbidden Forest," she winced when Niels set the stress ball down, rather harshly. "And I saw a snowy owl... It was carrying a letter, with mother's wax seal...so I ran after it. I led me on a wild goose chase through the forest..." She looked up and seeked a peek at Niels. Niels stared intently back at her. Amelia looked down again, feeling tears forming. "And that's when I saw the tent! Curious, I went over to it, only to have the Immobulus and Incarcerous and Accio spell used on me." Amelia glanced at Alec. "I believe you still have my wand."

Alec shrugged and took out the two wands. He gave it to Amelia and Louise. Then he yawned again.

Amelia took back her wand from Alec, then sank back deeper into her seat.

"Thank you, Amelia," Niels said dryly. "Now, you," he looked over to Louise. "Please explain your side of the story."

Louise was embarrassed. "I-Uh....was on my way back to my room and found him in a closet. I let him out and he said he wanted to show me something." Louise blushed. She was too gullible.

Alec snickered at Louise.

"Continue," Niels said, casting a warning glance at Alec.

"Alright, boy," Niels looked to Alec. "Your turn to explain."

Alec shrugged and yawned again. "Well lets see...just my usual tactics- having fun, and using people to blackmail...more people." Alec laughed then yawned again.

"Care to explain that more in detail?" Niels questioned.

Alec yawned. "Not really..." He stretched his arms lazily.

Niels sighed, knowing he couldn't get anything more out of Alec unless he used force. Which he wasn't going to do. For now.
He stared at the trio. "For breaking a rule, all of you are subjected to punishment. I will be suspending your some of your privileges. From today on until your punishment is over, all of you are under house arrest." Niels stood up and paced the room. "That means no going out to Hogsmeade, no leaving the campus, no more breaking curfew, no more visits to the Forbidden Forest." He paused in he step and glared at them. "Are we clear?"
