I bought the first book too, on page 58 right now, I'll probably keep reading from there but as I know a general guideline of how the story's going to go (due to the show) it's kind of lame. Once I get past where the show is, I'll probably read it non-stop. xD

Two seasons of talking about them and they leave it to the last episode to bust 'em out. As an aspiring screenwriter I say, well done. As a fan/watcher I say, damn you. Love this show though, and I can't wait til the next season.

I haven't read the books even though I own all 5 of them because I don't want to spoil myself. Also one of my friends who is up-to-date on the books said after reading the book then watching the series, the series was less enjoyable for her. Since I find the series to be amazing and epic, I don't want to ruin things. Although the uber long wait is killing me. In response to your question, I adore Ayra.

I was really excited about the show too. All I can say is it met my expectations. I can't wait for season 3, and book 6.
