I agree... the manga is written well, its crazy .

I love the anime version but I think the production company is not making a quality anime. There is a lot of still frames in the action sequences.
They are rushing parts of the story in season 2 , what a pain. What a waste of a well written manga.

Too bad CR is not streaming it. I hate the commercial interuptions.

I dropped the Anne after I saw it started like on the second arc. Seriously, how incompetent was the first director to not make sense of the story first?
Plus it's made by studio DEEN

sticking to manga and liking it, for a mainstream at least to say.

In the Sennen Makyou, the first 2 episodes was a mess, I think they weren't sure how to connect the pieces before the Past, Tono and the Kyoto arc begins.

They madeup a storyline of Rikuo's childhood which was not bad at all .

Animation wise ,has not improve a lot.

There are a lot of seiyuu that works in this anime, both young and veteran. It is awesome to hear the senior actors especially the seiyuu who is behind Kekain Hidemoto. He sounds really cool.Proving that a veteran seiyuu can produce a young sounding character.I love his formal kansai accent.

Spoiler!!!

Episode 11 is officially the beginning of the Kyoto arc.

Hope the battles scenes doesn't fail my expectations. But There is a lot more drama because of Rikuo, before the final battle against Gitsune.
Inspite of my disappointment , the story of this anime is really well written in manga which I am buying the english release. And I am looking forward to the anime every week.

I like it. I am finding it eeriely similar to Kyou Kara Maou in style and story. If you like KKM I think you'll like this too.

You will probably get annoyed with episode 1 and 2 since you read the manga . I had the impression they didnt know how to tie up those parts before the past Arc and Tono Arc begins.

But It sure fun watching the story animated , love the voice actors for the new characters.I just wished the fight scenes are animated well.

and

similar to KKM? ...the only thing that makes it similar is its about yokai and humans merging and creating harmony between the 2 dimension and that other demon leader are challenging the other's position.
That plot is kind of a given. Kingdom conquering and challenging other, the weak. Same with the world of Yakuza. Either you take over their turf or have an agreement for the welfare of the majority to prevent a war and to make the clan stronger and survive the times.

I like KKM too .

It was one of my favorite when it first came out.

I loved the first season, and I am loving this season. Only 14 more episodes until the end of the season. I hope that we'll see something that will tie into the next season (if that's decided, anyway).
