I'm closer to my mom than my dad. My dad irritates/irks me a lot at times, and I prefer to spend as little time as possible around him.

When I was a little boy, dad decided to teach me about life by breaking my dog's neck.
I could never face him again. But now I really appreciate his action. He died a few years ago in a miserable death full of regrets.
I tried to be a better person, but now I believe that ultimately I'll become the same.
