I swear you people do not read.

I am not complaining about ecchi and the general sexual overtones. Am I taking the efforts of that law too literally? Possibly so. Do I understand your points of censorship and mature content for mature folks, that I do.

I am complaining about the teacher in the first scene going at it with the student he bent over the desk and the other scenes where there are two minor highschool students having censored sex. The words are not censored so you do know exactly what is going on. "Seeing" is certainly subjective in that case.

Seriously, trying to twist what I am saying into wanting to censor every last panty shot in the world just proves that you either did not read what I wrote or that you just want to argue.

Here is the thread again:

http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-724022/anime-ratings-and-access-controls

Go contribute your ideas to improve the mature content filters that are available to people and petition to offer an uncensored stream for verified adults.

If you do that, every last person on this thread wins!

obviously it is censored because the audience is mixed. You want to remove it because some snot nose horny kid made a comment about removing the censorship? Really...your just being annoying now. What were you expecting from the show? Not every anime is meant for kids just in case you didn't know.

I don't mind censorship but sometimes the censorship ruins the actual show. Not because it blocks stuff but because it is distracting and/or censors more than it should. Sometimes i think censorship is just a way to cut down on what they have to draw.

IT IS CENSORED FOR A REASON! So those kids commenting don't see grown up stuff duh! Let them comment all they like they need to deal with it the same the grown ups watching it have too. If anything complain that you are an adult and its censored. I'm not complaining but that seems about the only real thing I see as a plausible complaint.

@wakameyum - What is to say your not just some kid who is pissed that it is blocked? I don't see your age on your profile... If you are an adult grow up!
Edit: looking at that mature content filter thread now. thanks for tip

@people making legal comments - This is a stupid topic started with no legal knowledge about the subject. Also what legal system would apply here? Is there an Anime court I don't know about? It is censored so even if the content is taboo in society, that does not make it illegal... The only laws that would apply are those of the country it was created in (Japan) and only laws pertaining to media.

One last thing I will say is that if r15 is still being shown with the current mature filter on, that is an obvious mistake and it should be reported. It may not completely satisfy your quest to have better controls, but what we currently have in place should also take care of some of your concerns.

I just turned the "Mature Content Filter" in my profile to "Hide Mature Content", and I was still able to access and play the first episode of R-15.

I think a good argument could be made at this point that the filter should be enabled, but by no means do I support the removal of the series.

Did you actually WATCH the show? There was no sex to be had in the whole episode. the first 30 seconds implied that sex would begin.
The other scene showed the camera girl being photographed in dirty ways but once again, NO sex. It was just some imagined scene in the protagonist's head.

Agreed there are other anime or things out there worst than R-15.

It should be noted that this topic has probably resulted in more people (including those under 18) watching R-15.

If I were a conspiracy nut, I would accuse wakameyum of being a plant to drive up viewings.

Or I secretly run an age verification website and I am pushing crunchyroll to use the service. I wish I was that clever!

-Not to TheAncientOne......to the general populace
Also, I am pretty sure that my age or whether I have children does not actually contribute anything of significance to the conversation. I'm sure it would offer some fuel for many of your arguments though.

Well looks to me that the only valid point made here is that it should be filtered when the filter is turned on.

As for my stance on this - who cares there is hentai anime 1 whole tier level above this - honestly if crunchy started adding those I still wouldn't care - I wouldn't watch them, but if others want to corrupt their mind or whatever they will find a way to do it one way or another regardless if its on crunchy roll or not.

Personally I think Only fools watch heavy ecchi shows - tho I must admit its not the worse thing you could do - there are people who get drunk and die in their cars people who murder others etc.

all people have a different level of tolorence for ecchi, lolicon or whatever, I know a person who thinks shana is lolicon - I think that's pushing it.

as for the kids - parents need to learn to parent.

I could care less about your age. And at least if you had kids of your own that might have watched this would share some insight into why you are on such a crusade over such a petty couple of incidents. To me anyways it seems silly to get worked up over some implied scenes where nothing actually happened aside from some petting at best.
Alas, your argument will fall on deaf ears here. Be it from misunderstandings or from overreactions. Best of luck on your crusade, though I foresee it failing.

As I mentioned in my previous post, it's not in violation of the law your speaking of. Even if a new law was to be written targeting these shows, I don't see it passing the strict scrutiny test. The way I see it is you are personally offended by that one scene. That's fine. You can make a thread saying R-15 is the stupidest show in anime history. That would be fine. I personally see R-15 as a really stupid show, but I don't see anything illegal with the content.

off topic but relevant :
This is an interesting read.

"For most people, pornography use has no negative effects—and it may even deter sexual violence"
http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=the-sunny-side-of-smut

Read it on your own and think about it on your own. Let's not exacerbate this thread any further.

Something I do not know, are mature content titles available without registering? For instance Is a thirteen year old able to make a profile that shows that they are 13, and still allow them to view mature material?

@colorofjustice - Interesting read. Wish it gave more detail and statistics.

There is a synopsis.

You can read a Review.

There are censors.

Your the one who chooses to watch, if you wish to make sure your kid does not see it, then its your responsibility.

You can hide Mature Content

You cannot in any way prove that the girl in the opening was under 18 years old. Your only assumed. For all we know, she could have been held back 2 years. But no, you automatically assume. Your automatic assumption does not warrant a removal.

You are trying to force others to accept your view.

You are officially a Troll.

I nominate this thread for the most ridiculous thread in the history of Crunchyroll.

It's just a summary of the research findings, but if you want to read the full studies/dissertations, you might be able to find them online somewhere, though you may have to pay a fee.

To be honest, I don't see how an age verification will help. People always lie on the internet.
