Investigatory project is one of the problematic projects in high schools [well, for me it is XD]

so, if you remember... what are the investigatory project title proposal have u made before?

my title last year was 'malunggay extract as pain reliever' XD so what about yours? :3 and last last year was... nevermind XDD it's not that good, lol.

--oh, and this thread is mainly to share ur IP title or ur IP experiences. And also, to give an idea to some of the users who can't think of a title [like me, sorry I admit it XDD]
and I don't think this is duplicate or personal thread, so yeah

EDIT: for those who doesn't know what investigatory project is:

I can think back about them wanting me to investigate something, but all I did was look into their black hearts. I found a bunch of tired, old people who just want to make kids suffer, because they miss being young themselves.

"Out of a million people, 17 suicides isn’t much—indeed, American college students kill themselves at four times that rate."

If this is newsworthy (and it should be) then they must have really high expectations for survival over there.

Doesn't sound familiar. My high school has research projects, is that the same thing but different wording? I haven't been clicking on links so sorry if my question has been answered.

I read the topic and couldn't help but think the OP was from the Philippines... looks like I was correct.

The term Investigatory Project is as Filipino an invention of a term as the word Comfort Room. I don't know where in the word the word came from, and apparently it just means "scientific research", because they require the topics to be science-releated for the sake of the application of the "scientific method". I wanted to do a philosophical discourse, but of course they wanted to see results like students burning themselves or something - which proves my point that they have no idea what they're talking about.

So I was left to make batteries out of lemons. If you were to ask me, the whole thing was a joke. I did nothing I wrote in the paper. It was totally fictional. The pictures included with the report were just me sticking aluminum wads into lemons I was going to use for in making lemon squares. That's about it.

If you were to ask me, doing an "investigatory project" in high school is a load of bull shit. Students don't get the point, and the certainly don't understand what they're doing unless they find any reason to WANT to research on anything that would mean anything to anyone who would actually take them seriously. Most high schools don't even have the facilities needed for a decent scientific research - and they expect students to submit what - science fair projects? It's retarded, really...

You wouldn't believe my joy when I entered college and completed a decent thesis on botanical research. I had the actual materials to do a research and a library catalogue that had more than just "encarta" inside it. Yeah, unlike most high school students now, I had not the benefit of the Internet. And that is yet another reason why more high school kids shouldn't even bother to do investigatory projects, because you can pretty much just google your way out of it. High school truly lacks much common sense.

I did an investigatory project last school year. I was one of the few who were chosen. My teacher also gave me the choice whether to work in a group or to work alone-I chose to work alone. I believe it was about some bacteria that could eliminate odours.
